I'm sure you could fabricate something similar and use the hardware, but the instructions included are really specific to the 1/8th of an inch and correct placement of hardware is crucial to assembly. It includes directions for all cuts for panels from 48"x96" sheets that maximize the total amounts of wood without waste. also that dvd is pretty step by step. When installing the pistons to frame i realized how crucial and glad i measured correctly all mounting points. All n All its was a fun project can be done in a weekend, I used the 3/4 plywood option ran me about 250 for supplies and paint, and its a sturdy piece.hope this helps...

Answer:	This accepts a standard full size mattress. The dimensions for a full are 54W x 74L, or 4.5 feet wide by approx 6 feet long, and there is a weight limit of 250lbs. So yes, theoretically it could fit two adults of demure to modest stature, although you would be awfully cramped and probably have some limbs hanging off of the sides.

Answer:	It is 72" tall. We have 9' ceilings and it works great. If your ceiling is 8', I imagine it would be cramped up there. It's exactly as long and wide as a full sized bed, adding a little all the way around for the metal - so, the specs on the amazon description (81"L x 58.50D") are probably accurate. As for underneath... I am 5'6" and I have to stoop a bit. My son, who is 5'9" loves it under there, though! You just have to make sure you don't forget and stand up from your chair too fast!

Answer:	Im not sure what you are asking. I think you might be trying to figure out how much space you need for the mattress? I had a MAJOR problem here and could not use the bed because our ceiling was not tall enough. Even with a thin mattress you need a nine foot ceiling. My ex is a carpenter and foreman of 25 years training. He came over to put up the bed and told me that he would have to cut the frame down or fix the bed so the mattress/bed would be used on the bottom. If we tried to use it in our eight foot ceiling bedroom you would barley be able to turn over in your sleep, flip the mattress over, change the sheets, etc. It might work for a very short time for a small child, but as soon as they grow, they won't fit. Another problem, is the stairs. At the top of them, there is barely enough room to get from the top stair to the top of the bed. It is a very slim space to move around in. Question:	Is this made from solid wood? Does it have a strong chemical smell
Answer:	Hydraulic springs. They are also called shock springs and they are very strong. There is one each side. Without a mattress on the slatted frame the bed will retract and you will have to hold it down so don't connect the springs until you have the mattress or counter weight. I put something heavy on the frame to work on it because I didn't have the new mattress yet. Then just put it up in the closed position. With a mattress on the frame the shock springs will make lifting the bed easy.
Question:	Where can I find the trundle to match this
Answer:	I ordered a "12 inch" memory foam mattress, and it's a tight squeeze. I think it's a little over 12" though.
Question:	Do the vertical support pieces running along the center of bedframe interfere with trundle? Can they be relocated differently than in diagram
Answer:	Most queens dimensions are fine. What you want to double check is the height (depth) of the mattress. That # can vary.
Question:	Will a 39*75*8 mattress fit to trundle
Answer:	hi, shelves measure 16.6 inches deep x 23.5 inches wide the drawer inside dimensions are 21 1/2 inches wide by 15 inches deep x 8 7/8 inches high

Question:	Are you couch cushion's for making a queen size bed to sleep on? Can a normal queen mattress fit inside when closed
Answer:	The trundle can accommodate a standard twin size mattress up to 8" in thickness.
Question:	Does this come with all hardware needed or do i need to buy a separate kit
Answer:	Well the part of the bed that flips up you could leave it but we had to pull them out for the bookshelves. We just removed the whole side wall where we put the bed. Hope it helps!
Question:	What is the weight limit of the murphy bed? Odd question, but my brother and his wife visit often and they are on the heavy side
Answer:	You can do the bed and fold away. Don't need to remove sheets & bedding

Answer:	If you are using the full sized bed with a trundle, the support legs can be installed to the side of the bed, rather than the exact center. This allows the trundle to slide under the bed while allowing the slats to be supported by the legs.
