Answer:	This is a very strong and sturdy base so I would guess yes. I think our umbrella is 9-10 ft and it’s worked great. Make sure you check the diameter of the hole where the pole goes to make sure it will slide down there. I’m not certain about the return policy but if you plan on purchasing this I would make sure it’s a positive purchase because it’s so heavy you would pay a fortune for shipping I’m sure.

Answer:	No, especially for true trundle, it wouldn't fit under the bed if you added a box spring. You could but a box spring on the top full part of the bed but my daughter just has a mattress on it now and you can't feel any difference. It mainly is about preference for whoever is sleeping on it. If you do go with a box spring I would suggest one that is coupled with the mattress into one piece.

Answer:	The trundle is the same size as the top day bed. The arms are actually on the out side of the mattress ends, so the whole day bed is actually a few inches longer and wider than a twin mattress.

Answer:	It's not really meant to be used with a "regular" box spring because it would sit too high. If you used a box spring it would need to be the kind that is much thinner. My daughter has had this bed for almost a year and no issues without a box spring. The only thing is that the mattress does slide on the metal rails underneath, but I fixed that by putting some grip on the rails.

And being only 6" makes the height more like a sofa than a bed. Total personal preference as to what would work for you.

Answer:	Yes, very much so. There are 10-15 bottom support slats that snap out separately; the "back"/sides/arms break down into multiple smaller sections; and the long front/back pieces are hinged enabling them to fold compactly. Save the assembly instructions along with the little mallet provided and you'll be able to assemble/disassemble quite easily. I've put it together twice by myself. On a separate note, the 10" thick mattress I purchased, (also from Amazon), comes up quite high, pretty much to the top of the back support bar; I'm guessing that the one pictured is 6" max. Question:	If I want to use this as a sofa, is the back high enough to support comfortably (w/pillows)? I want to use this as a gaming/tv sofa as well as a bed
Answer:	Unfortunately that is an accurate photo. I was thinking of a brown sharpie but don't want to mess anyone's clothing.
Question:	How much space is between the slats
Answer:	I’m not sure what the inner Width is. It holds a standard size twin mattress. When putting it together it didn’t seem very sturdy but it really is.
Question:	does the trundle pop up
Answer:	I'm assuming that you mean the round rods that for the platform of the bed where the mattress sits right? So I had this problem initially when I was putting it together. The little plastic pegs in the end if the rods weren't really attaching well the the metal bars. What I did was make sure the rest of the frame was tight enough so the plastic pegs met up with the little holes in the bars. Then push really hard and they will snap into place. Once you hear the snap\click they won't move. Hope that helps!
