I soldered alligator clips to two each banana plugs to fit jacks on meter. (The jacks are a little small.) find plugs that fit:-) This way you can keep cap lead close to meter, to eliminate inductive effects. First zero meter w clips in place. Place cap leads in clips move fingers away. Meter values are very close w silver micas I have. |

The breadboard is just that, but it can accommodate any standard through-hole parts and chips. It is not especially shielded, so there is a risk of frequency leak I suppose for higher power circuits or very high frequency stuff, but even then, I suspect you will have no notable problems. |

| Answer: | I do not own any 3M breadboards. I do however have 2 Elenco std. 830 tie point breadboards, and 3 of these larger 9438 breadboards, with base, banana power plugs and extra power strip. I've used these for about 5 years now, and would buy again. I've seen the negative reviews about poor connections and have not had these problems.The main reason I don't have the 3M boards, and I've seen them on digikey and elsewhere, is because I can get three of these boards for that price. And at the end of the day, there are much more important things to spend the money on. So if I were you, I'd get one of these. If you have the money, and you will be doing a lot in college or otherwise with breadboards, buy two and have the extra space to do more prototyping. I think these boards do just fine. Anything that will fit into this breadboard will not likely be a very heavy draw of current. |

| Answer: | Not sure if the board means breadboard power supply module. To power on it , need a AC-DC adapter with a 5.5mm/2.1mm plug and 9V or 12V output. 9V is preferred. The board will output 3.3V or 5V voltage(depends on the switch position) when it plug to breadboard. If any issue, please feel free to contact us. |
