Answer:	It could work but it will be short in relation to the bed and may look odd. Things to consider: The headboard is 48"high and the platform for the mattress 21"h. And then add an 8-10" mattress. In the photo of this headboard, the platform of the the beds was 15"h

Answer:	This is just the headboard, not the frame. I got a universal bed frame from Sams club for our bed. I suppose it could be used with a platform bed, but the headboard may be too tall for the bed.

Answer:	The headboard does not have holes drilled into the backing.
Question:	What is the distance from floor to bottom of first shelf
Answer:	My bed is 29" to the top of the mattress, so the only part that would show is the storage compartment. The bed in the sample pictures looks like it is a fair bit lower. Propping it up may be necessary to get a better look and useful headboard function. Unless laying your head on the shelf inside the storage area is an option, I guess.
Question:	Can you let me know if the headboard comes with all the required hardware to install it to a bed frame (like the clamps and screws
Answer:	Actually, I don't think they make frames attached to headboards anymore. This is the 4th bed assembly I've put together (from 4 different companies) and all of them did not havve the clamps and screws to attach the frame with the headboard. however, i recommend this headboard to anyone because all you have to do is drill 1/4" wood screws into the headboard (using the frame's holes as a guide), and wha-la!! I've have my bed assembled for 2 years now, and it is the still sturdy as the day I assembled it.

Answer:	Yes, should work just fine. The opening at the bottom of the headboard is 17.25"h but the mattress will cover the difference between the bed frame and it. The shelf is at 29" from the floor. The headboard is freestanding so it does not need to be attached to the bed frame.

Answer:	This headboard hangs on the wall.No bed frame We built a frame

Answer:	There is not a minimum distance that the bed needs to be from the wall. The headboard between the 2 floating end tables is about 1 1/4" thick. Since the headboard mounts directly on the wall, it depends what type of frame your mattress is on. The legs of your bed frame will dictate how far from the wall your bed will be from the headboard. i have an articulating mattress, no box spring, contemporary bed frame. I have 1/2" running board along my wall. My bed frame is not flush with the headboard and the legs of the bed frame are 4 1/4" from my baseboard. This leaves me approximately 2 inches from the mattress itself to the headboard. I did not want the mattress against the headboard. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Wood! This is the best bed ever!!! Absolutely no noise or creaking!!

Answer:	I did not notice that 4/10ths of a difference when purchasing. We ordered foam mattresses to use and they are not square and had some hangoff but not after I turned the mattress in proper position and you really dont want to see slats so ours were perfect

Answer:	slats are attached toeach other with carefully measured straps, and then are held in place on the frame with industrial Velcro. They DONT move.
