| Answer: | Hello, the cable, when fully open, is 3.75" long. When locked, the space between the loop and the lock is just over 1.5". Honestly, though, this lock is not my favorite. It does appear very sturdy but I have not actually used it yet. My 'beef' is with the locking mechanism itself. It's kind of difficult to get the hang of to open; even though I've entered my own combination I swear it's still locked until, magically, it opens after fiddling with it and just about getting frustrated.
