| Answer: | I'm betting they are hot - microfiber is just fine spun PLASTIC. Think about sleeping in a fabric shower curtain. I don't know why people have not researched what microfiber is but they don't seem to as more and more are raving about this man made "fabric". I HATE it and it's seeping into everything these days! It makes me sweat because it does NOT breathe as sellers/manufacturers want you to believe. Plastic can not breathe. It traps in heat and sweat like wrapping yourself up in trash bags. If people would start rejecting this "fabric", we'd go back to cotton. It's all hype and people fall for it. |

Care Instructions
Ordinary washers and dryers can be used for easy care. Hand or machine wash in cold water with mild detergent is recommended. Washing at a high temperature causes microfiber to expand, releasing trapped dirt and micro-particles. If you consider hand washing, use a soft, bristled brush if necessary and rinse thoroughly.
Air dry is best for drying as microfiber dries relatively quickly. However, if you plan to use the dryer, set it on low heat or no heat. This setting uses less quantity of water for laundering, less percentage of chemicals and consumes less energy for drying. Besides this, it is preshrunk to avoid any shrinkage after washing.
Do not use fabric softeners as they clog up the open spaces in microfiber, which makes the fabric useless. Also, do not wash microfiber with a terry towel or material that sheds a lot of lint. Wash separately or with material like jeans or t-shirt that do not shed lint.

I am trying to buy sheets online and I looked at the fitted sheet on my Queen bed tonight and I measured from the very top of the mattress to where it goes down and tucks under and my friend said I should measure from where my present sheet's seam starts. Then I realized that I didn't need a 16" deep pocket - I hope! |

| Answer: | I use and have used micro fiber sheets for 10 plus years. Many different brands, bought multiple years (for my boat) they are amazing to use HOWEVER they will always smell like polyester. ALWAYS FOREVER 40+ washes with different softener or temperature (dryer too) will never change the smell. That being said, the sheets are amazing, durable, soft, strong and easy to care. I just keep using febreeze type before use. |

| Answer: | The ones we bought are made of "microfiber." But that's just a generic term: it simply means a very fine--small diameter--synthetic thread, finer than a strand of silk (which itself is very fine). The basic purpose of using microfibers is that they are very soft and, well, silky. Polyester, Nylon and Kevlar are all used to make microfibers. I remember something in the packaging mentioning "birch," as in the tree, being the source of the material. If that's the case then the microfibers would be cellulosic: Rayon or Viscose, which are soft and luxurious by nature. The fabric could also be a blend, say incorporating polyester microfibers for strength. Regardless, all of these fibers are reasonably stain resistant so I don't believe there is a separate treatment for that. And they're all hypoallergenic.But remember, I'm only guessing as to the chemistry of the actual thread. |
