Answer:	I have a standard fitted sheet over it. I don't know that it's intended to be slept on directly - that would mean more washings and wear & tear. This mattress pad is thick and takes up a pretty full washer on its own. It is soft and would be plenty comfortable if you wanted sleep directly on it. I would put a sheet over it, though.

Answer:	It washes and dries very well but I would dry it by itself. This stackable dryer sounds small. Check it about half way to untangle it.

Answer:	I bought it for this reason and after a weekend away and my kitten finding it, cat pee is stuck on my brand new 2 mattresses. Completely bummed as this was the entire reason we bought it. It looks and feels like total fabric - no vinyl/polyester feel anywhere which is HOW it is actually waterproofed. Totally disappointed and may need to buy 2 more mattresses.

Answer:	This pad is THIN, 1/8-1/4" depending on how much you compress it when measuring. I do have to hunt for the thicker ones, as they are hard to find in the low-end chain stores, so I was surprised that it was not any thicker, more plush like i had hoped.

Answer:	I can't find the content label on the mattress pad (I may have cut it off) but I believe that the top is cotton -- it's very soft. The sides are polyester, I think -- much nicer than my previous mattress pad, which had a very flimsy "fabric" which shredded after a few washings. I am very happy with the quality of this pad.

Question:	Does this have any vinyl &/or plastic type material
Answer:	The switches are rated for 277v I'm pretty sure, so they would be fine to use with 240v. The only issue i can see would be the switch not fitting an Australian outlet box- in the US the distance between the screw holes for mounting the switch is 83mm or 3-1/4 in, if this is not the same as your outlet box wherre you intend to install the switch it will not work. Also there is the issue with UL or other listing agencies, in the US we are not allowed to install any product that is not UL listed, I'm sure Australia has similar regulations.

Answer:	Yes there is a backing plate that screws into the light switches and the top plate gently snaps on. The 4 gang plate needs be handled gently as it is very wide and could easily break.

Answer:	Hello... No, this is just the plate. You need to buy 3 individual Lutron switches (or plugs) to go with it. You can get plain switches or dimmer switches. I have converted almost all of my outlets and plugs to the Lutron Claro series and think it is very clean and smart looking.

Question:	is the mattress incasement thicker than the box spring incasement? if it is....can i use the mattress incasement to cover the box spring
Answer:	They are different materials. The box spring cover is more course, like the material reusable grocery totes are made from. The mattress cover is soft & silky. I imagine you could use the mattress encasement in your box spring, but I would be concerned about wood splinters poking through the material.

Answer:	If you're using this to prevent the movement of bed bugs into or out of your mattress (or even just to protect your mattress in the absence of bed bugs) but you still wish to wash this, buy two. One that you leave permantently sealed on your bed (this brand) and one that is over it that you wash (different one, not water proof). While this handles great with washing and drying (I have washed and dried twice without any loss of life), the washing process throws your washing machine around (as this is water proof inside), and the drying process takes multiple no-heat air dries, plus all day of having this propped open over furniture.

Answer:	I disagree with other reviewers-- it does make a noise-- it's a soft noise but it does crinkle and feel a little papery. Might get another mattress topper to put on top so it's not as noticeable.
