The chemical smell also didn't really bother me that much and we put the mattress in a mattress bag and it still had a slight smell but dissipating. I am very sensitive to chemicals and I'm doing ok sleeping on this. It was an emergency replacement after we bought an expensive latex mattress not knowing I was allergic to latex proteins that it gives off in the air! So I recommend this mattress for sensitive people and it sleeps okay. But no idea if long term it will be like every other mattress and develop pits. Just so happy not to have anaphylactic reactions every few nights!!

The 2 larger ones held the following: 1) Held 2 regular sized jars of spaghetti sauce; 2) Held 2 large boxes of Velveeta cheese when melted. The smaller ones held 2 cans (12-14 oz) of sliced mushrooms each. I hope that helps you to somewhat visualize their capacity. I was quite surprised at how much they could hold.
