Answer:	I am not sure that it would not burn a child's hand. That said, I don't think a casual brush against the front would cause a burn. The heater is a radiant heater. It is designed to radiate the heat out and heat objects and the space in front of it without getting extremely hot itself. Caution would always be prudent though.

Answer:	I bought mine in January or February of 2014. It seemed to not work as well for a few weeks, but maybe that was user error. I am still using it this winter & it seems to work really well.
Question:	Does anyone still make an electric blanket, or throw, that does NOT have an automatic shut off
Answer:	The functions of the blanket are on the control unit. Directions are included with the blanket. You press the buttons for the desired results.As for the ability to use alternate controllers, I don't know. But with other controllers, you probably can't do all that this blanket does, i.e., set it to preheat at a particular time or turn off at a certain time. Just being able to turn it on or off, perhaps you can.

Question:	how well does it heat me if I don't have anything over the electric blanketm
Answer:	Yes, If your blanket has the Choice Touch Controller then the blanket can be programmed to come on each night by using the preheat function. You have to first set the clock (there is a switch on the underside of the control, move it to Time and set the clock using the + and - buttons), then move the switch to preheat (again the switch is on the bottom of the control and pick a preheat time using the + and - buttons). After these are both set put the switch on the bottom of the controller back in the center position. Turn the controller on and use the mode button until Preheat flashes then the + button until it shows both Preheat and the time. That should set it. The preheat will come on at the time you set and will preheat for 30 minutes then go to the original control setting. Hope this helps.

Answer:	No, but it's a wonderful product. Maybe you could put a thin waterproof mattress pad over it? The manufacturer probably advises against putting anything over it besides the bottom sheet, but I have been using a regular mattress pad over mine (to keep from having to wash the electric one) for as long as I've had it and I've not had any problems.

Answer:	We tried this when our started to go, to try to get a bit more life out of it (it's about 7-8 years old). The pad heats along the side near the plugs, so you would have some heat in the head zone from that. The "head" zone is also smaller than the "foot" zone, so your feet aren't quite as warm. If you sleep near the edge of the bed, the plug can be annoying as it is pretty bulky.

Question:	Can you feel the cords running through the pad? Or is there a thick enough foam that you can't feel it
Answer:	It is not foam it is some sort of a fibre. If I press down on the pad with my hand and run my hand over the item in question I can feel them. I never feel them when laying on it, not at any time. As a matter of fact I had to think about it when the question was asked. So no I don't feel the wires when laying on the mattress cover.

Answer:	On the Queen there are separate controls. I would imagine that the King has separate controls also. The Full does not have separate controls.
Question:	with a king size pad...where is the outlet to plug it in? at the end of the bed
Answer:	The directions say to put it at the foot of the bed!! But I have an outlet in my headboard so I put the plug at the head of my bed!! Then there are no cords running under the mattress!! I have been using it about 4 months and there has been no issues!!
