Answer:	I haven't tried to machine wash my Magnetic pad. I use my vacuum with a fabric attachment to clean and on sunny days I lay the pad in the sun. Have you contacted the manufacturer for washing instructions? Since the pad is somewhat heavy, I'd consider a large professional machine Instead of your "at home" washing machine. Hope this helps.

Answer:	At the time I bought the 1st one (2010) the warranty was 5 years. One of the controllers malfunctioned twice during that time. I called for advice about how I might repair them or request a new controller. Both times, they just offered to replace the whole mattress pad with a new one, no squabbling at all. Answer:	I would think so as the control comes unattached to the pad and you have to plug it in to the pad. I love mine!!!!

Answer:	Preheat warms faster and stays on for an hour I think and then goes to whatever temperature you set it at after that. I preheat mine just before bed and then the sheets are warm, I turn it down once I actually get into bed.
