Answer:	No. It is not breathable. Traps body heat in bed in a way that was never an issue until we started using this cover. I like that it’s thin, soft and waterproof, but this sweating issue is intolerable and I will be removing it now.

Answer:	It depends on the quality and style of your wash machine. I vertical agitator type (top loader) washes very well. However the front loaded type requires a second washing because of the specific gravity of water ..compared to the top loader. Unless you are washing from the second floor of your residence. This removes the SG of water factor because of the added vertical rise in the positioning of the wash machine

It looks and feels like total fabric - no vinyl/polyester feel anywhere which is HOW it is actually waterproofed. Totally disappointed and may need to buy 2 more mattresses.
