Answer:	Twist the bottom cap off, then take the tiny screw driver that comes with it and use it on the one tiny screw on the middle piece jutting out. It will release a little sorta cap and the one AAA slides in. Its to prevent toddlers from taking the battery out when they learn to unscrew the botto.

Answer:	It comes with a mini clscrew driver. The battery area has a battery safety cap that screws in with one tiny screw. They included the screw driver for it as well, so you don't have to have one that small.

Answer:	They tend to run a little large, but it's always a guess!! If you like it on the large comfy side, I'd get the large, but if you want it more fitted then I'd get the medium. Hope this helps a little!

Answer:	No, it is not hard at all, it's a thin material with the 3D type rose pattern. You will need to place it ontop of a pad or pillow before placing a baby on it. There is also a smell to the cloth and it will need to hand washed before use. I have already taken a picture of it and it photographed well.
