| Answer: | I have no comparison point for Bose QC35 or previous generation backbeat pro. I specifically got backbeat pro 2 SE for using it primarily for talk on the phone with secondary use as a listening headphone. In about a couple of weeks of my owning this, I have used it a few times talking on the phone in my quiet office and once at an airport. Both the times, I checked with people on the other end and they told me they could hear me clearly. I could hear conversation very clearly. The headphone creates a good noise isolation. The dedicated mute button on the headphone was my top reason for picking this headphone and it has been working great so far. Other nice thing is that it pauses music when a call comes in. And the sensors are awesome. If I take the headphone off, the call mutes (or music pauses) and when I put them back on, it unmutes the call. Other observation I made is that the "open mic" has no effect while using the headphone for a call and I am not sure if "ANC" does anything. I tried using it once for a call in a parking lot where planes fly over regularly for landing and using the ANC mode on the headset didn't seem to to do much to block the plane noise.The only thing I am still getting used to is making sure to not talk too loud since its very isolated conversation and hard to tell how loud I am talking |

| Answer: | I have the original Pro(125-199), and this model(249). I also have a Cowin E7(45-59). If you dont need 2 devices, the E7 is a BARGAIN! For under 60 you get EQUAL ANC. And lets face it, neither of these are audiophile sounding headhones. The Plantronics is bass heavy and low on hering vocals(oddly from a phone headset company that does com for nasa:"go figure). While the BBPro is uncomfortable and small ears, the new Pro2 is much more comfortable, and lighter weight. That is the KEY DIFFERNECE. BUT, the E7 is amazingly much like it, and is very comfortable. So I am SO lost as what to do, as I like the 2 device pairing, while not always working right....So either I get rid of these 2 Plantronics for $450!!!! back, and keep the E7. One thing WAS nice on the Pro that got ruined on the Pro2 is the remove/Mute. I kind of liked this, and the voice notifications, but the slightest touch and the Pro2 mutes, and thisis ammoying, and makes it a useless feature. Perhaps there is a way to adjust sensitivity? Just surprised at how useless the extra money is when all you need is a good set of headphones for listening to video/music in a noisy computer room that sounds rather nice and full and clear. Sure a bunch of folks will tell you the Bose 35 is the way to go, and IF you have 250 for the Pro and do need good noise canceling, it DOESNT deliver any better than E7, so either save up or get the E7. The Mic on the Pro1 and 2 maybe better and worth noting. I will test it more soon. |
