Answer:	I'm betting they are hot - microfiber is just fine spun PLASTIC. Think about sleeping in a fabric shower curtain. I don't know why people have not researched what microfiber is but they don't seem to as more and more are raving about this man made "fabric". I HATE it and it's seeping into everything these days! It makes me sweat because it does NOT breathe as sellers/manufacturers want you to believe. Plastic can not breathe. It traps in heat and sweat like wrapping yourself up in trash bags. If people would start rejecting this "fabric", we'd go back to cotton. It's all hype and people fall for it.

Ordinary washers and dryers can be used for easy care. Hand or machine wash in cold water with mild detergent is recommended. Washing at a high temperature causes microfiber to expand, releasing trapped dirt and micro-particles. If you consider hand washing, use a soft, bristled brush if necessary and rinse thoroughly.

Air dry is best for drying as microfiber dries relatively quickly. However, if you plan to use the dryer, set it on low heat or no heat. Answer:	No. I got a replacement from the seller, but will NOT be washing it because the first one ended up discolored and all jacked up from the washing machine. Take it to a dry cleaner.

Because if I destroy it it would only cost 32 for a brand new one. I didn’t want to wash it in a bathtub because that’s weird so I put it in my washing machine on low settings. Then wanted to let it dry outside but it started raining so I threw it in the dryer (the cardinal sin) and it’s been fine for two weeks. Dry, comfortable, hasn’t killed me yet. :)

Answer:	Traditionallly you would put it in a duvet cover. I can't stand them - they're difficult to put on and never look as nice as in ads. We put a patterneed sheet on top of it that is one size smaller (so the edges of the comforter show). We'd seen something similar done in an upscale hotel. The sheet keeps the comforter clean and can be tossed in the wash every week or two - or changed out for a different look. Just my take!

Answer:	Yeah, it's kind of oddly-described. It's just a fluffy blanked thing you sleep under. You CAN put it inside a "duvet cover." Think of it just like a pillow and pillowcase. Have you even been tired and gone to bed and realized you'd taken off your pillowcases and were too lazy to put on new clean ones, and then just slept on the pillow, like a caveman (well, a caveman with a pillow). This is the same thing -- you don't really NEED the cover, especially on something that's $20. Originally, European Duvets were often valuable, and of course you'd put them in a cover to protect them, so you could just take off and wash the cover, same as you wash a pillowcase. The other reason is that feature/down duvets (aka comforters) in some cases have little poky things from the feathers, and a duvet cover (especially one with rugged fabric) would keep these from bother you while you slept. For this cover, it's really not necessary, but it will probably have a more finished look if you do put it inside a cover. Or just go to sleep, whatever you feel like. That's what i do...

Answer:	This blanket did not shed or pill AT ALL after machine washing and drying prior to using it on my bed.

Answer:	No clue! It is not a blend, and not thermal - just a cotton blanket. Just did a little research and generally natural fiber blankets are not treated with formaldehyde.

Answer:	According to the ITEM DESCRIPTION the dimensions of the new blanket are 90 inches x 108 inches. Duh.

Answer:	Not as thick as a quilt. It's a thin cotton blanket, not super thin though. We use it under a thick blanket in the winter, and alone with just a sheet in the summer.

Question:	what is the thread count on this
Answer:	These are microfiber, not cotton, so they are not measured in thread count. Microfiber is measured in GSM (Grams per Square Meter.) Most microfiber fabrics are between 200-350 GSM. The higher the number, the thicker and softer the fabric. I prefer microfiber sheets, as they are lightweight, cooler, and easier to wash than cotton. That said, because they are so thin, they may not last as long. Hope that helps clear things up!
Question:	What is the thread count. Why the seemingly deceptive product name
Answer:	There is no thread count because they are not cotton; they are polyester. HC Collection seems to be purposely misleading customers by calling these "1800 Series Egyptian Quality" which actually has nothing to do with 1800 thread count or Egyptian cotton.
Question:	what's the difference between microfiber and cotton thread count sheets
Answer:	Microfiber is polyester (aka sleeping on plastic)Cotton is much nicer to sleep on because it is softer, cooler and more breathable. Anything over 600 thread count is likely false advertising. My favorite sheet to sleep on is a 250 thread count percale. That gives you the nice crisp sheets.

Answer:	Hello,The tag on the sheets lists them as 100% microfiber / 100% polyester. I think they are very soft and super comfortable. Already on the 2nd washing and drying. They are still staying on the bed with no problems with any of the corners coming up.

Just be sure to MEASURE so you’ll get the same size duvet cover as the particular duvet insert you buy!! Not all duvet covers, inserts, comforters, blankets, bedspreads & coverlets are the same! For example, an insert might be labeled “Queen” size, yet it could be as much as 6-8” larger or smaller than the “Queen” size duvet cover you already have, or vice versa!
Question:	Will this comforter be to warm for climate with temp 70 -76 degrees? I might wake up sweating
Answer:	I bought this insert 2 months ago for this year "extreme" Miami winter nights of 58 F. I loved it until now that the nights are back to the high 70s. Now we are sweating like crazy and we keep the AC at 70 degrees during the night, I can't imagine during summer time. So here I'm again looking for a thinner insert for my cover. This comforter is perfect for a not so cold weather but not for warm weather in my experience.
