Answer:	The heating pad it either on or off. There are boo dials with this. You click to turn it on and it comes on a warms nicely but then turns itself off automatically after about 45 minutes. I love mine.

Answer:	yes it does have to be running or it will drain the battery... this product really doesn't make sense to buy if your heat in your car works since you have to run it anyway... my heat works but i carry a portable generator in my car ...so on trips when its cold and i a going pull over at a rest stop i plug the blanket into the generator and plug the generator into the battery when i get back on the road... the blanket turns itself off at intervals of 30/45 minutes...but in freezing temps it will keep you warm (while its on)... i would recommend it but only with the full disclosure of how it works
Question:	Can you wash this? I know with other thermal blankets the answer is yes
Answer:	I bought the blanket for my daughter & she said there's a circle printed on the blanket somewhere that you're suppose to push. Sometimes she'd hear it click. She said it broke rather quickly, which I feel badly about because I'd have returned it if she'd told me. Hope this helps some.

Answer:	It is too cheap to be made of any type of animal hair. Probably some cheap plastic fabric. People don't know that vegans don't buy any animal products if they help it, including wool. Also, these reviews are bad, I wouldn't buy it anyway.

Answer:	I have two of the black & white plaid. They each draw 3.5 amps at 12.3v or 43 watts measured on boat Victron BMV-712 battery monitor. Love them!
