It has not been over-used ,nor has it been washed yet, but all the High, Medium, and Low lights on the control are blinking and the blanket is not functioning. We tried the manual's troubleshooting of unplugging, etc., but it appears to be broken. I now read the other comments and find this is a common problem. What can we do about this? Answer:	Sunbeam does make it confusing. In the description , they have a big banner that says 5 year limited warranty. But if you go into the description, scroll to the bottom and read the Warranty pdf attachment, it says it has a 1 year limited warranty. I bought this in January, it is now May and there is a short in the wiring inside the blanket around the area where the electric cord connects to the blanket. Turn the cord one direction and it works, turn it another direction and it doesn’t. Because the Amazon returns window has passed, and the Assurant extended warranty won’t go into effect until after the manufacturers warranty expires, although it’s not clear when that is. So have to contact Sunbeam. Happy with the blanket up until now!

Because we wanted to cover all of the 25 square foot area of the blanket, it would have bumped our retail to almost $700. Question:	How do you charge battery
Answer:	It uses standard 18v batteries that come on drills and such (not included). Charge those on a standard makita charger (also not included).
Question:	What battery for the heated blanket
Answer:	Any of the standard LXT 18V batteries. I’ve used the 3.0 - 6.0 amp hour batteries with no issues.
Question:	Can the makita dcb200a blanket be used with a bl1850b li battery, and how long will it last at the 3 settings
Answer:	it lasts me 40 minutes.

Answer:	No

Question:	How long is the cord
Answer:	Probably 5ft.
Question:	does the controller and chord detach, so that it can be washed without these bits
Answer:	The cord detaches but you can’t wash it in the washing machine because of the wires.
Question:	Can it be plugged into a smart plug to turn on or off ? and is it defaulted to off
Answer:	The controller reverts back to off position when power is lost, unplugged (or turned off from smart plug)...only the controller turns the heat back on to a chosen heat/ power setting on the controller.
Question:	How much wattage does the blanket use at the various heat settings
