Answer:	Regardless of gender, the rule of thumb is 10% of body weight plus one to get the proper weight; and then round up to closest available weight. Example- I weigh 165 pounds, 10% of my body weight is 16.5lbs, plus one is 17.5. When selecting weight round up, I would order the 18lb blanket. Easy trick for non-math types: So as long as you’re over 99 pounds, take the first two digits of your weight and add 1 (169 - 16+1=17) - round up & order 18lb blanket. For less than 100 pounds add one to the first number (97pounds - 9+1=10lbs) - order the 10lb blanket (no need to round in this case).

Answer:	The duvet cover can be machine washed cold with similar colors. You should hang to dry or dry on low heat setting. The weighted inner layer can be spot cleaned or dry cleaned.

Answer:	Yes, this is pretty annoying. There are ties in each of the corners, and ties in the middle of the top and bottom. However, there are two sets of ties on each side 1/3 and 2/3 of the way down. There is no tie halfway down each side, where there is usually (always in my experience) a loop on the blanket. Very strange design, probably why this one was available from AzWarehouse from a previous return. Oh well.

Answer:	20 lbs of glass beads are going to feel lighter per square foot when spread across a larger surface area. This is why I wish weighted blankets were measured by weight/square foot instead of the entire surface area. Blanket sizes create too many variables to have an accurate idea of what a blanket would feel like. That said, I have heard that when sharing weighted blankets, it can cause the blanket to lose that hug- feeling. I have never tested this out myself.

However, I recommend this gorgeous blanket, is super soft, sturdy, comfortable, and always warm, we live in Texas and have to have the cooler on during the night, sometimes it gets chilli in the morning and this blanket makes it all perfect. A bit heavy when trying to make your bed all by yourself, but is not heavy when you're under it.
