I wanted something different. I have gotten a lot of compliments on this quilt. I have two real quilts made by my grandmother... they are softer than this. A couple things about it that I didn't know before purchasing - the shams don't match the picture. They do not have a 2" edge like the picture shows. Also, it is heat-pressed to mimic real quilting and not truly a quilted pattern.

Answer:	My guess is that pricing may be based on popularity instead of size. It may be that the king is less popular, though I have no idea why as it is beautiful. Home Depot and Kohl's both carry it, and the king is the least expensive in both of those stores, too. Target is the only place I've seen it where the price seems to be correlated with size. I've noticed pricing that appears to be popularity-based with other products, both here on Amazon and elsewhere.

Answer:	Hello, The bed in the picture looks like there is a comforter underneath. When you get this you need to wash it and tumble dry it to fluff up the fuzzy part (Chenille is the french word for caterpiller). The base part is medium weight cotton, but when you add the weight of the fluffy part this is definately on the heavy side.

Answer:	I love the spread! I bought a king size for my queen size bed and it fits perfect. At first I was going to get the shams but they were on back order. The spread,in my opinion, looks great without the shams.So I canceled the order for them
