Answer:	I didn't think it was going to have slits, just pleats, but mine arrived and the end panel is fully split from the side panels, and I am able to use it unmodified with my frame and footboard.

Answer:	Yes! I use it on my platform base bed and it works great! It hides the ugly metal leg, but make sure you have a head board cause they only have the drop on 3 sides so it leaves the head of the bed exposed.
