Answer:	I would say yes. You will be sitting at a 15-20 degree angle from upright but you will be virtually upright. Answer:	The strap itself is about 26", the total length of the pad plus the strap is about 40". It straps fine across my back, chest, etc. but I'm a size small. I don't think it could go around the shoulders but easily across the lower back or upper back under the arms. It works great and is very comfortable!

Answer:	Yes. But depending on your dad's size. Have you tried foam wedges? Foam support to about 45 degrees then pillows for comfort. Just a thought. Staying in a recliner all the time is a concern for pressure ulcers.

Answer:	This product is completely different. The 10 dollar ones are that price because that's about all they are worth. If your looking for a extra large sturdy back support pillow this one is it! The stuffing is real cotton. You cannot flatten this pillow!!! It springs right back. You will not be disappointed. My husband is a big man and this pillow is the same as when I first got them. When you take it out of the tight package it's in it will appear smaller but it will expand, in fact it is big and comfy. They head rest attaches by a button fasten which let's you minipulate position! Go for it!!!!
