10 best aerobed air pumps

Aerobed is a well-known brand that produces air mattresses and related accessories, including air pumps. Air pumps are an essential accessory for inflating and deflating air mattresses, providing convenience and efficiency.

Aerobed air pumps are designed specifically for inflating and deflating their air mattresses. They typically come with different nozzle attachments to ensure a secure fit with the air mattress valves. The pumps are usually electrically powered and can quickly inflate or deflate the mattress to the desired firmness or softness.

Some Aerobed air pumps have built-in features like auto-shutoff, which stops the pump when the mattress reaches the desired inflation level. This helps prevent overinflation and ensures optimal comfort.

Aerobed air pumps are generally designed to be compact and lightweight, making them easy to store and transport. They are often sold as part of a package with Aerobed air mattresses, but they may also be available separately for those who need a replacement or an additional pump.

It's important to use the appropriate Aerobed air pump for your specific Aerobed mattress model to ensure compatibility and efficient inflation and deflation. Following the manufacturer's instructions for usage and maintenance is essential to prolong the lifespan of both the air pump and the air mattress.

The Music of Islam, Vol. 10: Qur'an Recitation, Istanbul, Turkey

Product description

Ten years in the making, The Music of Islam series recorded in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Yemen, Pakistan, Indonesia, Iran and Qatar represents the most comprehensive sound documentation available to Westerners today, of a world religion dating back to 1/622. Although governed by strict rules for fourteen centuries, contact with other cultures has radically affected Islamic music throughout history. As the world enters the XV/21st century the timing of this collection serves an even larger purpose, documenting the traditions that have survived and will continue to survive for centuries to come. Today, one fifth of the world's population, one billion people, are Muslims, occupying a large territory stretching from the Atlantic shore of north and west Africa, through west, central, and south Asia to island southeast Asia, and attracting an increasing following in India, western Europe, north America, east Asia, and southern Africa. This is a global presence which cannot be ignored.

Many orthodox Muslims have traditionally held that music is generally detrimental to the listener's religious life, and as a result there is relatively little sacred music in Islam. But there is some. Central to Islamic life is the chanting of the holy scripture, the Qur'an. Two associated works, the call to prayer known as ezan (adhon) and the tekbir, are known throughout the Islamic world, and are also performed in a highly stylized, richly embroidered style of chant. These prayers are the subject of this volume. A further prayer, the mevlud (mawlid) and regional prayers for the month of Ramadan are reserved for special occasions. All of these sacred works are sung/recited (the distinction becomes almost a semantic one in these performances in Arabic, of course); but difference in pronunciation and inflection have led to distinctly regional styles of performance. The five reciters recorded in this volume are all based in Istanbul, Turkey, where the tradition of Qur'anic chant is particularly strong.

The sound of the Qur'an recitation can be a striking one for Western ears. The modes can range from the slightly piquant to the startlingly exotic. But it bears repeating that, for all the musical interest in these performances, this is basically not music at all. It is prayer; and like the chanting of the Buddhist monks of Tibet, has as its ultimate aim not a musical goal but a spiritual one.

About the Artist

Featuring five of the best reciters in Turkey, this volume in The Music of Islam series focuses on the recitation of the Qur'an, as the title implies. Producer David Parsons has remarkably captured the spiritual essence of this ancient and time-honored tradition.

Hafiz Kani Karaca is one of Turkey's greatest Qur'an reciters and has represented Turkey in recitation competitions in other Islamic countries. Hafiz Huseyin Erek is the leader of the Sisli Mosque Foundation of Istanbul. Hafiz Kadir Konya is a famous reciter who also represents religious business interests on the Istanbul City Council. Hafiz Dr. Emin Isik is a Professor of Qur'an recitation and commentary on Qur'an (Tefsir) at the Theology Faculty of Marmara University. He is one of Turkey's best-known proponents of Qur'an recitation. Co-producer Al-Sheikh Nail Kesova is the Leader of the Galata Mevlevi Ensemble (the world famous Whirling Dervishes), a composer in the Turkish mystic music tradition, and a well-known singer and reciter of Turkish mystic and religious music.

This is a global presence which cannot be ignored.

'Aissaoua Sufi Ceremony, the first of three volumes in this series recorded in Morocco, captures the public performance of 'Aissaoua rituals, called hadra. 'Aissaoua is the brotherhood comprised of followers of one of Morocco's most well-known and highly regarded spiritual leaders, Shaykh 'Abd Allah Sidi Muhammad Ben 'Aisa as-Sufiani al-Mukhtari (870/1465-933/1526). 'Aissaoua performances work on several levels: for members of the brotherhood, they form part of their spiritual training; for ceremony sponsors they serve to bless the event; and for the individual pilgrim or participant, the ritual provides access to the tangible baraka (blessing) of the Shaykh (Arabic Sheikh), which can be activated for purposes of healing and guidance. The trance possession which occurs during the hadra is the most dramatic manifestation of this therapeutic function of the performance. The baraka which effects these transformations is activated and brought into the hadra by means of recitations, singing and music, all of which is traditionally featured on this double length recording. Perhaps Parsons has captured even more than the Islamic music represented here, like, the transcendence of baraka from Shaykh ben 'Aisa for all who listen.

About the Artist

Produced and recorded by David Parsons, this volume presents the hadra of an 'Aissaoua team held at a house deep in the medina - the old section of Marrakesh, Morocco.

Recording conditions for this volume in The Music of Islam series were unique and challenging. For instance, the microphone had to be taped to an orange tree and oftentimes covered with a white cloth as its black color was not allowed to be seen during the ceremony. The production team was also restricted from wearing any black clothing.

While listening to this recording, shifts in the stereo imaging and balance can be detected as the participants moved around the courtyard. Rather than record the musicians in an artificial setting, Parsons wanted to catch the music live with an audience, including people going into trances. This setting was much more conducive to the spirit of the music, which is played to serve the dual purpose of devotion for members of the brotherhood and healing for members of the assembly.

User questions & answers

Question: do aerobes need a frame
Answer: They sit on the floor, unless you want them on a platform of some kind. they would not work with a standard bed frame .
Question: What does the warranty cover
Answer: I had a problem with a slow leak, they covered it with a replacement without any problem at all. I would think the warranty covers everything during the period
Question: So can I inflate it without electricity if it has an onboard motor
Answer: Don’t think so...you need electricity to run the motor. There could be a valve you could blow into to blow it up, but I’m not sure on that And it would take forever. We’ve only ever inflated it using electricity to run the motor.
Question: Does this come in a Full Size bed
Answer: Yes it does. It has a baffle in the middle that keeps the people on their own side

User questions & answers

Question: Is this made of vinyl? I need to know the exact material. Thanks
Answer: Sweetie, a twin is a twin. Would you buy a twin mattress for you and your mate to sleep on? Of course not, you would buy a full or larger bed size. Same for blow up sizes.
Question: can I deflate this mattress and leave it rolled up in my rv sofa bed
Answer: UPDATE, 2016-08-30: I said in the comment below that I was about to get my old Aerobed with self-contained pump out of storage, and that I bet there were new holes in it. There were not. The bed has been pumped up since May of this year and has not leaked at all. However, I did purchase this queen sized Aerobed without self-contained pump; it has leaked from day one, becoming unusably soft after 3 days. Since the pump cannot be left attached, is very awkward to attach and (like a tire pump) releases air as it is being attached, it is frustrating and inconvenient to re-pump it. So I gave up trying to sleep on it and rolled it up, where it waits for me to contact the company. I would advise AGAINST purchasing the Aerobed that does not have the self-contained pump, as this one is an unbelievable pain. The extra money is worth it, especially if the bed develops a slow leak and you have to repump it until you can find the time to search for and patch the hole.I've had a full size Aerobed, no pillow top, for about 8 years. I originally bought it on the advice of my physical therapist, and it suited me well because I have a loft bed onto which it is difficult to maneuver a heavy traditional mattress. Before it ever developed a hole, I used it as my only mattress, with my man, for 2 years straight. (The total weight on it was about 300 pounds.) It gradually loses air just like a bike tire, but since my pump was built in I could just flip the switch for 30 seconds, no problem. To make it warmer in the winter, and easier to apply fitted sheets, I put one fitted sheet on the mattress for friction, then put layers of eggcrate foam on top of that and applied a fitted sheet over the foam.UNTIL I DEFLATED IT, it did not get any holes in it. These mattresses do not seem to like being deflated and reinflated repeatedly. I was doing that weekly, because I change my sheets weekly, and deflating the mattress a little bit made it easier to get sheets on and off of it. I patched it several times before I learned my lesson and left it inflated--patched holes and all--and continued to sleep on it for another 3 years straight. I'm about to haul it out of storage and use it again; I don't know that there are holes in it, but I bet there are.FYI, to patch it: Fully inflate and stand it on end in a very quiet room with no breeze. Listen for a tiny hissing sound, or put your face very close to the mattress so you can feel air being expelled. Once you find the hole, circle it with a magic marker, then deflate the mattress until you can no longer sense air being expelled--this is important! If the pressure is too high it will blow your patch right open again. I always nothing but PURE GLUE, a clear silicone type. If the hole is very tiny like a pinprick, just lay a nice worm of silicone over it and spread carefully with your finger. Let it dry for a few days without touching it again. Then put another layer of glue on top of it. That should do it for a pinprick. If the hole is larger, you can still patch it this way but you might have to use several layers to build up material around the hole: the first layer or two will essentially make the hole smaller until it is pinprick-sized.I have patched round holes up to a few millimeters in diameter, and slits at the seams that were up to an inch long, by this method.None of my glue-patches ever leaked again, although new holes developed elsewhere. :)I never found a patch of extra material to work for me. The above directions are the result of much trial and error. They are an indication of how much I love this kind of mattress, that I was willing to spend this time to get it back in working order.I saw this question because I'm about to purchase a queen size Aerobed. Might not help the person who asked the question, 2 years later, but it might help someone else.
Question: Is there a weight limit to this mattress
Answer: I have a queen not a twin but the queen box is 7x13x15 inches so the twin is going to be smaller. It's pretty small and I am always able to deflate it and put it back in the box.
