Answer:	Hi Sandra! The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!! Read my review and you will see in detail what my experience is! I read reviews that said they sloughed off in the washer like 3 times and had a lot of lint in the dryer. All I can tell you is that after the first wash, there was NO string or residue in the washer and the lint filter in the dryer was an even bigger surprise--hardly any at all!!! They came out of the dryer all big and fluffy--gorgeous white towels! The quality is evident in the look of them. I bought two for myself and two to give as gifts (all are being monogrammed now!!) for 2 friends I am meeting in Rome in February 2014. We are going to a huge spa and I thought such beautiful towels would be a nice gift. I think both guys will like them a lot!! I can only tell you my experience with them--I don't know about anyone else. All I can say is they are WORTH the money!!!!!

Answer:	Yes for one towel, but the company offers an increasing percentage off for multiple purchases. I experimented and tried the towels from another company that was cheaper priced. I can wholeheartedly say that these towels are thicker and feel of better quality. Just my experience.

Answer:	According to the description, they are supposed to be machine washable. I haven't washed mine yet since some reviews state they do not need to be washed after every class. I really like the towel though and it has made a difference in my practice. Good luck.

I believe we're allowed to take our towels wherever we want, even Homeland Security doesn't seem to care about towels yet.

Answer:	The towels that I received measured 35" X 70", but after I washed them they shrunk about 1" in length and 1/2" in width. They are very nice towels though, and very absorbing.

Answer:	I just bought two of these. Out of the box I measured the weight: 911 grams at 1.58 m2 (35x70=2450 square inches) = 576 GSM. That was not what I expected. Also, they feel rough like a normal, cheaper bath sheet that you can get for about $12 each at Overstock. Definitely not the "Luxury Bath Sheet" I was expecting.
