Answer:	Hi! I haven't had any problem with dust getting in. I keep hair pins, barrettes and clips in mine. Some of these have white pearls as decoration and they would look awful if covered in dust. They are bright, white and clean pearl barrettes. I love this container and plan to buy more. Hope this helps!
