Industry researchers found that by mixing PE materials with, of all things, oyster shell powder, it becomes a non toxic new composite material that looks and performs the same but after being discarded will disintegrate at a rate of 95% after 6 months in the ground, water or exposed to sunlight. Indoors it should last 2 years before it starts to decompose. As a note, we are prevented by California regulations from using certain terms without their certification, so you won't find details in the product description. Answer:	it appears to be made of a semi-hardened 'string' of plastic melded together. I like it very much b/c the soap does not sit in water on our tiled shower shelf. to clean it I either drop it on the floor and let the shower spray on it or throw one or two of these in a mesh bag in with the laundry. Comes with 4 in a pack so I can swap them out.

Question:	I had to remove the soap dish and need to purchase another adhesive back. How do I do that
Answer:	Contact the seller. However, given the price of the soap dish is very reasonable, it might be simpler just to buy another one.
Question:	Will the adhesive stay on a textured shower wall
Answer:	I do not think that it will. The adhesive really wants a flat, clean wall. I would be afraid that the texture would result in little "valleys" of no adhesive, which would grow over time. The adhesive is on the back of the plastic plate that holds the dish. When you attach it, you peel off the backing and stick it on the wall, and press it. i.e. there is no other glue or adhesive..... just what is on the back of that plastic plate.
Question:	Will the soap dish rust
Answer:	No,its stainless steel material looks high grade, it is waterproof and rustproof. I have left it in the bathroom for a few months,no rust!
