Most high speed dryers have sound levels at 70 decibel and above. the advantage of a high-speed unit like this is that it dries hands very quickly. Unfortunately, this does create a certain noise level. There are some slower velocity dryers that would be less noisy, but they also dry hands more slowly.

Maybe someone damaged the sensor or you got a lemon :/ Again I have 3 and the first 1 purchased well over 5 months the others have been in use for a few months now and still no problems. Answer:	I DO NOT have one but I discovered that it dry my hair beautifully. Better then a professional hand drier from Italy. My gym has a very old low speed wall unit, installed high above the head. It is quite, slow air flow, warm air. My hair comes out so soft, silky, straight, and low frizz. I was shocked to realize this fact after several use.
