Answer: I don't know the exact thickness in mild, but I can contribute that I have used mine for 50+ masks and even after being stretched over my ears for extended periods of time (fell asleep using it on a few occasions) it has never ripped, torn, etc. In fact, I have just ordered two more (2020) as gifts after my adult children saw me using mine over the 2020 holidays (bought in 2017 & still in perfect condition). It's effective and I 100% believe it makes every disposable face mask I use more effective! I don't mind shelling out $15 for each of the Lancome masks I buy only because this silicone mask makes them worth it.

Answer: If you’re using the foaming net correctly, it should already be clean because of the foam you made with your face wash. Just rinse after use and hang to dry. I have a suction cup with a hook on my bathroom mirror that I hang mine from.
