Answer:	Greetings, I bought these, and I'm not a small man. I had to send it back because the action and the sizing was better suited toward someone with smaller feet and calves. If you are not smaller in size, my experience with this device was it's a little painful. I had to send it back. But I liked it, it's a good quality machine, and if I had smaller feet and calves, it would have felt great! But if your mother has larger calves, this may not be what you want. I ended up buying a flat one that's like a bathroom scale. It does a nice job on the bottom of the feet if you have neuropathy, slides under the couch for ez storage. But everything's a trade off. You lose the massage to the calves with the flatter units. I hope this helps.

Answer:	No pressure on the top of the foot, but the side massagers go partway. I love, love this machine. It is so relaxing after 8 hours on my feet.

Answer:	I know I do not have big calves for a woman and it works fine for me. My calves measure approximately 14 inches around shoe size 7 1/2 and my husbands calves are approximately 16 inches around shoe size 11 and he doesn't have a problem with it at all. The machine works great, We use it constantly and there have been no issues. It really works for us. I hope this helps out in making your decision.

Answer:	Save your money. Calf size is adequate but it's a low quality machine. The foot rollers are stuck in one place and the heating function doesn't work

Answer:	Mine turns on for 3 seconds, no lights on the controls, then turns itself off. I sent it back but I'm ordering another one hoping it will work. Its the only machine that will massage calves and and potentially arms so, I'm crossing my fingers!
