Answer:	If you call Garden of Life and ask them, they will say yes. However when you crush any vitamin or medication, those ingredients go into your bloodstream quickly rather than being slowly absorbed if you swallowed it. .If you are sensitive to niacin or other supplements, then crushing this and taking the powder would give you all of niacin in a quick release and could cause you to have the "niacin flush", feeling uncomfortable heat on your skin and redness. I was actually allergic to the Annato in this vitamin and when I crushed the vitamin and took the powder with water... My body got all of that annato at once causing a very intense allergic reaction- within 5 minutes of swallowing the powder. and it was more intense than if I would have swallowed it whole and it slowly absorbed. Be cautious. But the niacin flush alone is not dangerous that I know of- just uncomfortable. So in summary, you can crush it and put it in food but I would lee some Benadryl handy in case you are allergic to anything in it too- rare but possible. P.s. I didn't have the allergic reaction until the 4th day of taking the vitamin. That happens often with allergies. Not always the first time you ingest it.

Answer:	The expiration date of any product is determined by the date of production and how long it is determined to be of the same quality and still "good" to use. I cannot imagine receiving a product from Amazon that is expired.
Question:	Are these soy and dairy free
Answer:	gelatin is produced from the breaking apart of collagen tissue in animal flesh. The process involves hydrolysis of the bones and skin (boiling) and reducing the slurry down to extract the gelatin left in the soupy mix. The source of the gelatin is not a concern as much because most of the protein markers that would carry an allergen would be denatured and rendered inert in the process.The question then is what type of binder/thickening agent is used? Gelatin is the cheapest and most readily available, but it is an animal source. Non animal sources would be: Pectin(dextrose), cellulose(dextrin as well, chemically different) and other associated partial fruit sugars. Gluten is a whole separate thickening agent that has more to do with baked products as a toughening-agent or make the structure more solid. This wont be used in gummy products specifically as an ingredient, but it could be processed in a gluten-filled facility and will be labeled separately if it is certified gluten-free.
