Answer:	I don't think a fiber product by itself will have a whole lot of effect on your weight loss. It does give you a fuller feeling since it will bulk up and you should drink two glasses of water with it. This will probably reduce your caloric intake. I know fiber also has a slightly beneficial effect on your cholesterol and metabolism. So all in all, it should aid in weight loss through slightly indirect means.

Answer:	No it should not be consumed in it's thickened state. There is a very real danger of choking. Over stirring should be avoided. Drink immediately after moderate stirring. ☺

Question:	Did you recently change formula for this fiber? It used to be a finer grain but emulsified in water now it's a coarse texture and does not thicken
Answer:	I had to use twice as much to produce the same thickening in recipes. It's fine for my gluten free bread, but made cupcakes grainy. The product is definitely different and a disappointment. You could double the amount, but I doubt it will be smooth.

Question:	what does it taste like? I like the orange taste of metamucil
Answer:	It's unflavored. I never detected a taste in a strongly flavored drink. I would mix it with a single serve drink product. Other unflavored brands that I've tried taste "earthy." It doesn't have any sweetener or flavorant like Metamucil. I never used it in plain water. I don't recall a smell either. It's good stuff compared to what I'm using now, but pricey.

Answer:	They are both Acacia Senegal. I haven't tried Heather's. I am very happy with this one. It is a very light tan color.

Answer:	This is a great product for people on the go because you don't need a blender to mix it. A shaker cup is all you need. Recommend starting with one or two teaspoons in 16oz water. It has a very neutral taste so you may want to add some protein powder for flavor. I have been using this product for 6 months now and I really like it. I make my shake at night and then drink it in the morning. I use 6 ounces of chocolate milk plus 14 oz of water and 3 heaping teaspoons of Acadia. It is not coarse ground, but if you taste it raw it will indeed have some bit of "grittiness" to it, I think this is true with almost all of these powders but this effect is severely diminished in the Anthony's product.

Question:	What is the difference between psyllium husk and whole psyllium husk
Answer:	I believe the difference is the grinding of the husk. There is a product in drug stores Konsul I believe it is called that is psyllium husk and is more like a find powder. While it mixes a bit easier I find it too tough on my body where as the whole psyllium husk (this product) is not as fine. While it does not mix as well but easy enough with a tea spoon, I tolerate it a lot better. I also love the fact that this product is Organic.

I never saw static behaviour like this - really funny. The husks are so light and fluffy, and the plastic jar so electrostatically activating - just like mexican jumping beans. I was going to use this as an intermediary for the 10-lb bag - that isn't an ideal idea.
