I use an 8 oz mason jar, add one tablespoon of Tang® orange flavored drink mix, and then one scoop (tablespoon) of PrebioThrive powder, and then I add 8 oz of room temperature water and shake vigorously immediately after adding water. I watch the bottom of the jar to see that all the powder is dissolving, not getting sticky. It is necessary to shake it within 5 seconds of putting the lid on the jar. If you let it set longer, it begins to clump, you need to shake it before it gets sticky. I also wait about 10 - 20 minutes before drinking and do some more shaking. |

Digestive Advantage has Bacillus Coagulans in it. You may as well be comparing a spoon to a fork.. both are silverware, but they're not really the same otherwise. Align and Digestive Advantage are both probiotics, but that's pretty much where the similarity ends. Which one is right for you depends on what your gut needs. Many with IBS, including me, find this product (and others with Bacillus Coagulans) works well. I've tried dozens of other products based on various lactobacillus and bifidobacterium species (including Align, Culturele, etc), and yeast species (including Florastor), as well as various forms of yogurt and kefir, and none really helped me like this product does. But those other products might work well for you, because your gut is likely different than mine. |

Most products on the market lack both of those numbers...the majority. Just to add this...yogurts are pasturized, meaning exposed to high heat that kills not only the bad bateria, but also the good. I like to hunt for 30, 40, or 50 billion cfu's with at least 8 to 15 strains of bacteria. That way if you do eat a few sweets, it's strong enought to keep a balance. Want to be sure, cut out sugar. |
