My research has shown that refrigerating them will keep more bacteria alive for longer periods of time. You may tried eating fermented foods to introduce more live friendly bacteria into your gut. Fermented foods like sauerkraut, pickles, yogurt, kefir, miso, etc., are highly recommended. Make your own if possible. Question:	When purchased from a store they are kept in a cooler...how are they shipped? Does it effect the potency if not shipped cold
