Answer:	When running on a battery, there's no noise from itself. I opened it up myself to see the inside and there wasn't much of a shielding, but the casing itself is some sort of metal, so I expect it being a shielding material by itself. I haven't tried it with a power adaptor.

Answer:	Each input channel actually consists of two separate inputs, a left and a right. If the sound seems to be reversed when you listen to a source, simply switch the way the cables are plugged into the mixer, so that left becomes right, and vice versa.
