Answer:	The brand is Golden Papaya- don’t think they are organic but could be non GMO. These are delicious and worth buying.

Answer:	Yes, organic papayas are available, but they are usually the larger papayas from Mexico, not these smaller varieties. However, organic is not what matters with papaya. Papayas are very LOW on EWG's pesticide list. The most important concern is to buy non-GMO. If you research, you will find that 75% of papayas grown in Hawaii are GMO and that includes the crops sold in the U.S. As long as you buy non-GMO papayas, they are safe to eat. Now for the VERY GOOD NEWS: Thanks to our "food revolution" and public demand, papayas are now coming into markets labeled "Non-GMO" and I was very excited about this. Whole Foods Market is selling them. I didn't check other markets yet. But since Amazon owns Whole Foods now, I think Amazon Fresh should get on the bandwagon. I'm going to write to Fresh and ask them offer non-GMO papaya. I saw the reviews for the "golden papayas" on this page and that was enough to put me off. But as I was reading the reviews, I saw "Customers Also Viewed" on the right-hand side.
