Answer:	For the purpose of determining if Garlic/Garlic supplements are beneficial in reducing high blood pressure. I’ve found the following through some research and personal experimentation. First I tried a regime of taking raw garlic for 7 days. After only a few days my Blood pressure dropped considerably(140/70 down to 121/60). But keep in mind I also started taking a fish oil and a Turmeric supplement. I also stay fit 7 days a week with cardio 5 days a week. Downside to eating raw garlic. No one wanted to be around me! And eating raw garlic daily was brutal! I tried letting it sit and coating it in raw honey, Still brutal! To achieve the aforementioned with a supplement like this product It took 4 months of it daily. So a product can contain Allicin but the amount is small. When you crush a clove of garlic, that immediate odor is Allicin. Unfortunately, Allicin is unstable and it dissipates rapidly. Try researching products that contain “Stabilized Allicin.” Additionally, a better question about these products would be. Where are they made, produced, sourced?? Would you trust the product if the garlic was sourced in say... China!

Answer:	There is no heat added to the process of manufacturing of the Garlic Oil 5000mg (B2980).

I take it Friday through Sunday (1 a day) so I don't smell like garlic at work (although I have taken it on a workday and no one said I smelled like garlic even after I asked). During the week I take odorless 500 mg / 100 mg garlic/parsley (3 a day). I've been doing this for about 5 years and my blood pressure decreased from 140/97 to 128/78 and it has been low like that for about 3 years. I attribute that solely to garlic because my job keeps me desk bound.

Answer:	I contacted Now Foods and they said the 9mg. reflects the amount of mg's in 3 softgels of Garlic oil from concentrate and it is equilvalent to 4.5 grams of whole clove garlic. 4.5 grams equals 4500 mg's and if you divide 4500 mg's by 3 it will give you the amount of 1500 mg. per softgel. That information is on the side of the label under the supplement facts and also on their website.

Answer:	I was misdiagnosed with high blood pressure when I actually had a magnesium deficiency. I reversed my "high blood pressure" with 2 doses (1,000mg total) a day of magnesium chelate, noon and night. Noticed a huge difference after a week, and I am still on the magnesium because it works. I have not tried this garlic but maybe my experience helps someone. Worth a shot.
