You may see this warning on the product label and on websites where the product is sold because it is a government requirement in California due to the state’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, also known as “Proposition 65”. The warnings required in California were updated by new implementing regulations that became effective in late 2018. The Act mandates that a daily serving of a dietary supplement must not exceed 0.5 micrograms (mcg) of lead (Pb). Answer:	BCM-95 is actually made by Arjuna Naturals and is available in other brands as well. The "liposomal" issue relates to the issue of poor absorption of plain curcumin. It was speculated that the lower rate of Alzheimer's in India is due to curcumin in the diet, but what would make it absorbed better so as to account for this result? It was thought that the answer was the way it was prepared....using oil. So, Arjuna created and tested BCM-95, which proved to be much better absorbed. Here is what they say about it: "BCM-95 combines curcumin with high essential turmeric oils and thus makes it 7 times more bioavailable and 12 hours of retention in blood compared to 95% curcumin extracts. Mainly because of the fact of high absorption, the product has been taken by many prestigious universities worldwide for various clinical trials. " So "liposomal" means "with lipids", and lipids are fats and oils. So, BCM-95 uses curcumin oils. Other "liposomal" preparations may use other oils where the curcumin and oils are heated and mixed. Some people use lecithin plus oil to make their own, but I don't know how effective this is. I know another approach to the problem is the conjugating the curcumin with fenugreek, called CurQFen.
