Answer: No, this is sterile saline for irrigation.
Question: Can this be used on babies
Answer: It’s just sterile saline water same thing in your blood and tears. It’s water that mimics what’s already in our bodies and what comes out (ie. blood, tears, snot). It’s basically what they use in an IV drip, or to clean contacts, or used for nose irrigation. We actually use saline water for a lot of things. So yes you can use on babies.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the deal with not being able to take the cap off? Is B&L etal. afraid you might use the solution in another container as re-wetting drops
Answer: You should NEVER transfer lens solution from the original container to another. It's very easy to contaminate the product and the result can be as simple as an eye infection to as serious as loss of vision. Those little "travel" cases (from China) that include a purse size container should not be sold. Besides the solution is not meant for re-wetting.
Question: Can you use bio true for insertion of lenes
Answer: I don't understand how this can be a "cleaner" and yet can be used to insert lenses like saline? Can you use to insert lenses? Isn't it harsh?
Question: How often do you have to switch out the solution in your contact case
Answer: You should replace the solution only after wearing your lenses. If you are not wearing them than they can remain in the same solution. Fresh solution is a good way to clean and disinfect your lenses.
Question: Does this come with a contact lens case
Answer: Yes it comes with one. It's very nice I use it every day.

PuriLens Plus Preservative Free Saline 4 Fl Oz bottles, Pack of 12

Purilens

Product description

Formerly called PuriLens Plus Ultra PF. The finest quality preservative-free, pH balanced, isotonic, sterile saline solution. Does not contain chlorhexidine, thimerosal or other mercury-containing compounds. Includes: Twelve (12) 4 fl. oz. bottles of PuriLens Plus Preservative Free Saline.

  • Twelve (12) 4 fl. Oz. Bottles of Purilens plus solution
  • Same formulation as Unisol 4
  • No preservatives. Simply buffered saline.
  • For dry, sensitive eyes. For all contact lens wearers

User questions & answers

Question: Unisol was good for 30 days. Do you really need to discard Purilens after only 15 days
Answer: I would discard after 15 days. Purilens is preservative free, so there's nothing to fight bacteria in it. The longer you have the bottle, the greater risk of bacterial infection. It's like drinking milk after the expiration date; you might be ok, but it's a risk. However, unlike drinking milk, it only takes one infection to cause permanent vision loss.
Question: Is this 12 pak a saline only or a cleaning system. I wear daily disposables so i just need preservative free saline
Answer: It's just Saline. I use monthly disposables and store them in a cleaning solution. I use this to rinse and add a couple drops to each lense when I put in my contacts. very comfortable for my very sensitive eyes. My old saline (Unisol 4) was discontinued but this is like a direct replacement
Question: Is this good as just a rinse in the morning after i use clear care at night to disinfect? i wear gas permeable lenses (i have keratoconus
Answer: I have Kerataconus and use hard scleral lens. I use this solution along with the Purilens plus ultrasonic cleaner and it does a nice job of hand-free cleaning. This system both disinfects and clean the lens. so it's convenient. In the morning I place fresh drops of the purilens solution in the scleral lens before inserting in the eye. I get about 2 weeks out of each bottle. However when I travel I use hydrogen peroxide cleaning, so I don't have to bring my sonic cleaner with me. The ClearCare with hydraglide system burns my eyes, but other hydrogen peroxide systems work great, and I just fill my scleral lens with the neutralized H202 solution, since that is preservative-free and comfortable in my eyes, even after 18 hours of wear. For you, you could use this as a rinse, and to fill the scleral cups, but keep in mind these bottles only last about 15 days after opening, so you probably won't get to use it all.
Question: What is the difference between this product purilens plus and the purilens plus saline that costs $15 more
Answer: I buy this directly from Purilens.com for $34.95 plus $8 shipping = $42.95

User questions & answers

Question: How does the Replenish compare to the Pure-Moist line? Which one is better for keeping eyes from getting dry
Answer: I'm not sure I tend to leave mine in the solution for days and get the same results as if I left them only overnight, but I know since using this solution they last longer for me and don't get uncomfortable as quick as they use to from build up and etc.
Question: Is this replenish or express? One picture says express
Answer: I contacted the manufacturer asking about this, you don't need to buy a replacement filter for the 12 oz double pack. Here's their response.: "Thank you for contacting Alcon. This email is in response to your inquiry below. When used as directed, the lens case (cup and disc) packaged with two bottles (twin pack) of CLEAR CARE® Cleaning & Disinfecting Solution is designed to be used with both bottles. Another new lens case should not be needed. The twin packs that contain more than 32 fl. oz. in the bottles of CLEAR CARE Solution are supplied with two (2) fresh new lens cases. • Discard any remaining solution 3 months after opening. • The Discard date refers to the time you can safely use contact lens care product after the bottle has been opened. It is not the same as the expiration date, which is the last date that the product is still effective before it is opened. WARNING: Using your solution beyond the discard date could result in contamination of the solution and can lead to severe infection, vision loss or blindness. • To avoid contamination, DO NOT touch tip of container to any surface. Replace cap after using. • To avoid contaminating your solution, DO NOT transfer to other bottles or containers. Should you have any follow up questions or require further assistance, please contact Medical Product Information using the contact information listed below. Thank you for your interest in Alcon products."
Question: the product images and the title seem to conflict with each other. how many 10oz bottles does this product consist of
Answer: Ideally, you should let it soak for 8 hours. If you only let them soak for 3 or 4 hours for a day it is fine as long as you soak 8 hours the next day. Even if you don't soak as long, it's very important to spend 10 seconds per contact. You should pour a little solution in the palm of your hand, put your contact in that, and then rub with your finger to clean them. Basically you're trying to clean deposits off of them like proteins and oils. It's kind of like if you take anxiety dish with mold on it and dip it in soapy water and then rinse, it won't be clean. You have to run it and get all the stuff off. Hope this helps!
Question: Agree, product image and title conflict. Is this a 2 pack as indicates? Thanks
Answer: Yes

Product features

2D

Opti-Free Replenish features our 2D dual disinfecting formula. Our exclusive ingredients - Polyquad and Aldox - use their disinfecting power to reduce harmful microorganisms on your lenses. And that’s a good thing, because those are the same microorganisms that can cause eye infections.

Shield of Comfort

Our patented TearGlyde reconditioning system gives you the added benefit of enhanced comfort. By working with your natural tears, it helps create a continuous shield of comfort between the lens and eye. It also reconditions your lenses to maintain surface moisture, with many patients claiming clearer vision at the end of the day.

Cleansing

Opti-Free Replenish deep cleans your lenses by loosening and removing accumulations of protein and other deposits. This reduces lens irritation and promotes cleaner, clearer lenses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I bring my Opti-Free contact lens solution on an airplane?

A: While a standard bottle of Opti-Free solution may be permitted in your carry-on luggage by the TSA, we suggest packing a 2 oz. travel size. Visit the TSA website for more information.

Q: Why can’t I use saline solution to clean my lenses?

A: Saline solution is only meant to rinse your lenses, not clean and disinfect them. Opti-Free contact lens solutions do it all – rinse, clean, disinfect and store your lenses.

Q: Can I use my multi-purpose solution as a rewetting drop?

A: Opti-Free multi-purpose solutions are formulated for cleaning, disinfecting, and rinsing your lenses immediately before putting them in your eyes. To rewet your contact lenses once they’re on your eyes, we recommend using an Opti-Free Rewetting Drop for an additional burst of moisture.
