Answer:	18650 battteries can be charged in Gear 1 or Gear 2. Gear 1 would lower the charging rate and it would take much longer to charge the batteries. I found the reccomendations below on several reviews on the XTAR WP2 II I found useing Google search.18650, 17670, 18500, and 17500 can all be charged at 1 amp (Gear 2) or if you want to charge them more slowly use Gear 1.18350, 16340, 14500, and 10440 should only be charged at .5 amp (Gear 1) and they require spacers to fit correctly.
