Answer:	October 2019: The price of an 18 bar box went up app. 33% within a couple weeks time. I paid $12.24 per box for 2 boxes last month, and a couple weeks later, I paid $12.24 per box for 4 boxes. Single (18 unit) boxes were $12.24 each. A few days ago, I visited the same Amazon site, and the price had increased to $16.64 I wrote a product review, complementing the product, but questioning the high increase in price. Amazon sent me an email, saying that my review was now posted. When I looked for it, the site shows a general 4star review (for this 18 unit box), with over 2,000 reviews. However, NO REVIEWS (including mine) ARE POSTED. Instead, it says "be the first to review this product". I am an appreciative and motivated Prime customer, and buy many things from Amazon. But this situation and lack of response or info from Amazon seems like a way to slip in a higher cost without taking responsibility or even an explanation to me. Since the product is made in Canada, not China, this is not related to the current tariff issues. Jeez Amazon, I would have appreciated a response instead of having to address the issue here. The price increase seemed very steep. And what gives with your not posting any of the 2,000+ reviews. Did mine cause you to "start over"?

Answer:	The two leading sugar alcohols are Xylitol and Erythritol. The ingredients does not specify which. Both are excellent sugar substitutes; very low glycemic index (near zero). Xylitol actually has a mild anti biotic property that is used in some nose spray products. Erythritol emparts a cool tasting sweetness (cool as in low temp, not as in "really cool"). Both are great sweeteners.

Answer:	The new package (for the lemon, which somehow linked me to this bar) is: 24g total, 13 sugar alcohol, 0g sugar, 0g fiber. I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure this means that it is 11g of net carbs and not as "Low GI" as it purports to be.

Answer:	It's sweetened with glycerol, the second ingredient. That is why there is 21g of sugar alcohol instead of sugar. Sugar alcohols don't affect blood sugar as much as sucrose (delays release a tiny bit), but glycerol is the closest sugar alcohol, and in fact has more kcals/gram than sugar. Sugar alcohols don't fully break down, leading to bloating and diarrhea.

Had I noticed even the slightest difference in my weight/fat, I would have ordered a second bottle. I haven't ordered a second bottle. Answer:	This is what I know: 1/4 cup=20g of protein and so you have a 40 servings. It is best to use it in 12 oz of water/smoothie. Otherwise figure your oz ttl in your bag and divided by 40 servings and again you will come out to 20g serving. You can also start with half of 1/4 for few days and add the rest. That is best I can do for you.

Answer:	I wonder what "UEP" is. ... Oh, United Egg Producers. "United Egg Producers. U.S. egg farmers collaborating to advance responsible egg production, assure proper hen care, produce safe eggs and preserve the environment for future generations." UEP farmers must have 100% of their flocks to the guidelines. So, yes it does mean the egg would be certified. I can only track this back as far as Judee's Gluten Free products which supplies baking ingredients.

Answer:	Many say 12 comes in a box, however today I received a box of only 4 bars. That amounts to $5.00 a bar. Be very careful when purchasing this product because each seller is different. I had originally purchased a box with 12 bars and thought that was what I was getting this time. Wrong! Read carefully before purchasing because they do not sell them as boxes of 12 at all times it all depends on the seller.
