Question:	Floppy" = thin it' just not thick enough to support it own weight
Answer:	It is thin but only slightly floppy if you hold it on one end. I haven't found the slight bend to be much of an issue. I have no problem lightly supporting it on both sides, occasionally, either, if I want to see what I am looking at without the slight visual "curve" that happens when I hold it one-handed. It's about like what progressive lens bifocals do to your keyboard and your computer screen if you move your head. Hold it lightly two-handed and that effect goes away. I love the handiness of the little extras, perfect size for purse or maybe a man's wallet.
Question:	will this work on a 15 inch laptop screen
Answer:	The focal length states 2.5 - 3 inches, implying that distance necessary for magnification. Advise looking for a specific computer screen mag device. Also, can't your laptop be adjusted for larger print on the idsplay?

Answer:	Yes, we just tested this and there were no problems driving a screw through the plastic. We also hammered a nail through one. There was no splitting or cracking of the surrounding plastic. You can also use scissors or a box cutter to trim these to any size you need.

You can easily use the sun (even on a slightly overcast day) to ignite paper quickly. Keep in mind, items with a higher ignition temperature may take longer to heat up to the point where it will ignite and larger items would also take a longer time. WARNING: The concentration of the sun's rays as you do this create intensely bright light that is NOT safe to look at during this process. This handy 4.5 x 7-inch magnifier is great for reading newspapers, books, magazines, and menus. It's handy size and low weight make it easy to hold and travel with. It's made from light, strong, flexible PVC. It's not scratch-proof but won't shatter if dropped. Powerful 2X magnification means printed type will be magnified 200% of its normal size. As with all fresnel lenses and most other magnifiers, these need to be elevated/held above the surface you are viewing in order to magnify. Comfortable to hold.

Question:	Either it works well or it does not work well, when laying it on a page in a book ?? please clarify for my 93+ mom
Answer:	the book fold is a problem (varied distance from printing) as not all of the page is in focus. I really need to hold it a bit away from the page (1/2 inch or so) and that becomes tiresome for long reads.
Question:	Does it magnify when placing on the book page or just at a little distance
Answer:	It has to have distance. I made a stand for it that holds it off the page. I made it out of a wine box. Found out it can't be square; the sides have to be wedge shaped and one side (side away from you) has to be empty for light to get in. Works pretty well!
Question:	Will this work if it is laying flat on a surface
Answer:	It works at different heights off what you are trying to magnify. There is no magnification if it actually is laying on what you wish to magnify.
Question:	If you put it in front of a cell phone to watch movies, would it look good
Answer:	Probably, yes. But you would have to hold it about 3 or 4 inches away from the cell phone. This would get tiring, unless you fashioned something to prop it up in front to free your hand.

Question:	What should I use to clean the acrylic magnifier? I'm assuming a cleaner such as Windex can scratch the acrylic
Answer:	I use eyeglass cleaner (those made for plastic lenses) that you can buy at the drug store with a microfiber cloth. This has worked well for me and has not yet produced any scratches.
Question:	Approximately how many hours do the batteries last before starting to dim? Also, are they easy for an elderly ind3to replace
Answer:	Batteries are easy to replace. As for battery life it depends on the battery brand and type I would estimate between 15 - 24 hours for a standard alkaline battery.
Question:	Does this have a clip to hold the paper? Or, does the paper / book lie on the desk and this stands over it to magnify it? Thank you
Answer:	The paper/book lies on the desk & this stands over it magnify it. Thanks Christine you gave me a idea. I'll make a makeshift adjustable stand to go underneath
Question:	I see the you can angle the magnifier but can it be moved closer and further away
Answer:	Yes. It can be raised and lowered. That's a knob on the vertical part of the stand. I think you have about 6 inches of adjustment.
