Answer:	I have been unable to remove the safety guard. This has been a ridiculous hindrance. I do not have any pliers or a vide grip. Who would have thought I needed pliers or a vice grip to be able to use this trash stick? Sheesh.

Answer:	The yellow part is 37 inches and the stick end is about 4 and three quarters inches long.

Answer:	Depends on how heavy the box is. In my experience, it's tough to pickup anything heavier than 5 pounds with this picker. It's only good for small objects 3" x 3" objects.
