Answer:	One thing the other answers don't tell you is that there is a small peg at the end of the arm. It hooks into the side of the handle and may be a bit stiff when new. If the lock/unlock button at the hinge is in the unlocked position, just pull outward at the peg. The packaging should mention this, but the diagrams do not even show the peg.

Answer:	I believe the package states it's weight limit. If you shop at Wal-Mart, they should have some where the canes are located. I wouldn't use to get a large can of coffee. Don't think it opens that wide, either. I like it to get what I can't reach or move the item so I can knock it down to catch it. Like being able to get to hard to reach areas...like behind the washer and dryer or large desk.

Answer:	I never gave it a thought but if the screw is tight to the object or inset the answer would be No.If the screw is loose and you can use the grabber it might work Personally I would get a ladder and screwdriver and get the job done .Period.

Answer:	No. It will barely handle One Pound between the gripping tips. I got it to retrieve books from high shelves. It will barely handle a one pound hardback book. Squeeze until I am worried for the grabber and worried for the tendons in my wrist, and the book just wants to slide out from between the tips.Note that the tips are the part of the grabber with the least mechanical advantage. It might do better with something round that would fit within the arms of the grabber. I just checked: the inner padded surface of the arms will do a fairly good job of gripping round objects from 2 1/2 to 3 inches (60 to 75 mm) in diameter. Smaller, and the arms can't tighten enough; larger, and only the tips get much of a grip, and as above, they don't grip very hard.I might consider it for a single serving can of soup or a catsup bottle, but I wouldn't be using it for quart jars of mayonnaise.

A vague question but it should work for most unless you are a little handicapped & can't use your hands successfully. However, these are VERY lightweight compared to the original Grabber. These work OK but you don't want to expect picking up anything that is rather heavy. Plus the duo I received , neither grip park worked so I have to squeeze the pistol grip the whole time I'm picking up the item.
