Answer:	This can be adjusted. Clothing will typically not set it off in a deposit chute because the large surface area spreads the pressure. To reduce activation from heavily filled plastic bag, cushion the mat with a layer of soft material. Conversely, to increase sensitivity, place a small hard object with corner (such as a 2x4 lumber) under the mat. Note that the alarm only stays on for 30 seconds even if the mat is kept pressurized. The alarm is activated for 30 seconds upon state change only -- ie: when pressure is applied or removed. If the state does not change, the alarm stops after 30 seconds.

Answer:	When the mattress the pad is being used upon is a firm, innerspring mattress, this item will likely still work fine for someone under 120 pounds. However, if the mattress is not firm, or has anything "non-standard" about it, such as it is a TempurPedic, memory foam, or air mattress, or if there is some type of padding that has been added to the bed, this 10" x 30" sensor pad may not properly register the body at all times. This can cause false alarms, or majorly delayed alerts. Answer:	The transmitter inside the pad is powered by a non-replaceable lithium battery. The battery has been engineered to last the duration of the pad's life term, which is one year. Replacement pads are available separately from this system. Note that this system should always come with a one year warrantied sensor pad, not 45 or 90 days. If you ever receive anything but a one year pad, you should immediately contact Amazon and ask to return the item, as that means the seller you bought the system from is not offering the correct product.
