I can then support myself to put on slippers and stand long enough to get balance and not pass out before going on to the bathroom. I have it wedged between the bed with the feet tucked under side cabinet. I was resistant to get a quad cane, now I wonder why I waited so long!

Question:	When I walk the inside feet hit the floor first so it seems a little wobbly. Has anyone else been able to practice and become comfortable with it
Answer:	My husband had a severe stoke and lost the use of his left side completely at one point. He has 2 of these quad canes, he loves them and both are sturdy with no wobble. Make sure the knob is twisted tightly, the height adjustment is correct for your height and the 2 longer legs on the base are facing outward with the shorter two legs facing inward. You shouldn't be having a problem with the inside feet hitting the floor first, they should all hit about the same time. I would ask your doctor, physical therapist or health care worker to check it and make sure it's set up right and that you're using it correctly. Good luck!

Answer:	No. The tallest measurement I can get is 39 inches from top of handle to the ground at its fullest extension.

Answer:	Top half of handle is rubber-like and soft in the palm of your hand. The bottom half of the handle, where your fingers wrap around the handle, is metal. It is comfortable to hold.

Answer:	My husband is short and is currently using the cane at 32" from the floor. There are 6 more holes to notch the cane up higher which would add 7 inches, so I would say that this cane will go up to 39 inches.

Answer:	This is good quality and should be very durable. As Bill said, it is quite a bit heavier and larger, though, than the lighter-weight model. I got this one for my mother when she was in PT after surgery when she broke her hip, when she was just beginning to transition from a walker to a quad cane, and I actually had to return it because it was harder for her to handle and the physical therapist wanted her to use the smaller, lighter one. I replaced it with the lighter-weight quad cane from the same company. In your situation and for a man, this one may be the right choice.

Question:	the bottom is it square? how big is it
Answer:	Yes, square. Approx 3" between each contact point to the floor. My mother is almost 5' tall and works perfectly for her. I am 5'10" and could easily be adjusted for my height. Hope this helps.
Question:	How long is the cane when it is folded up
Answer:	approximately 19.5 inches. If you can see where the two black rubber things are on the straight part of the cane, that is where it folds at. There are two gold buttons that you press in and you life up the top of the cane, which has an elastic cord running through it into the bottom of the cane.

Answer:	Base is 6'x8". When climbing stairs, you can place the front 2 cups on the step ( which gives twice the support of a single cane) or you can hold the cane (top) sideways and all 4 cups will easily fit. I bought this primarily to allow some weight bearing and avoid a single tip slipping on wet pavement or leaves.
Question:	Is this better than the Hurrycane
Answer:	The hurrycan is dangerously hyped. Read the fine print that comes with it. Basically says do not put weight on it! The patented "foot" they hype is dangerously assembled. With regular use it will suddenly come off on you. The nut that attaches the foot to the cane comes loose due to lack of a lock washer. I advised them to drill a hole through the bolt & place a cotter key or rivet through it so the nut cannot come off. Suggested this 2years ago when mine came off as I walked.. Still have not fixed the defect. Be ready to sue when yours comes off & you fall.

Answer:	if you adjusted the height..you have to make sure the hole is exactly over the pin that comes out...push pin back in all the way and wiggle the cane up, and down, and back and forth until the pin pops out on it's own. the pin is resting over a simple spring...if the pin is pushing back against your finger when you push it in..the spring works....try readjusting the cane...until the pin naturally snaps into place...should fix it.

Answer:	I don't now that anyone can truly answer that but the user, but here's what I do:I relax my arm, then bend it slightly...just a little....and that's where the handle should be: right at that height next to my body. You want to be able to lean on it as you and the walk through each step you take. When you walk, it should be able to support you throughout the step. If you feel you're having to bend to reach it or, conversely, if your arm is TOO bent when the cane is vertical -- at the point of its motion when it is right beside you -- then you will not gain the benefit of the cane.
Question:	I heard that this was an excellent product and can support users up to 350 pounds. Is this correct

Question:	I have arthritis and vertigo, I currently use a quad-foot cane. Is this cane stable enough to stay put when I need to stop and wait out the vertigo
Answer:	I have had mine for over a year and it's still in excellent. I have severe nerve damage to the right side of my face and ear. My Doctor told me either a cane or my next fall was going to result in having a rod put in my leg. I have stood in stand still lines for quite a long time and my Hurry Cane has not failed me yet. If it does fall over all you have to do it take your foot and step on the bottom of it and it bounces right back up. Only you can decide what is best for you. My mother has both a quad and a Hurry Cane. She is constantly tripping over her quad. I find that to me far more dangerous than the tri. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does it come with the wrist strap/travel bag/travel clips
Answer:	The travel bag is a cheap nylon bag that secures with velcro. If you have to adjust the cane up from the shortest position, it becomes too long and sticks out of the bag by several inches. Also, the wrist strap elastic band that holds it to the cane was over stretched by the packing process making the ring too big and it slides down the cane. Both "extras" are useless as is the cane itself (see my review).

Answer:	Yes, the base is attached and it has a lot of flex when I walk with it. It appears that the movement allowed in the base is due to the rubber material and quad design because the base is firmly attached and I am unable to remove or tighten it. The flex allowes me to step forward while the cane remains on the floor until I lift it for my next step.

Question:	Is the tip mounted flexibly? I mean, could it be used on a 20 degree slope, where the cane is straight up but the base is on the slope at 20 degrees
Answer:	No the tip is not flexible. In a slope, I would make much smaller steps and keep the cane closer to the body than usual. If the tip was flexible, I don't think it would be as stabilizing.
Question:	Are you able to walk on grass or gravel with the Hugo Mobility Quadpod Cane
Answer:	have had this cane for 10 years just ordered my 2nd (Grip wore out) not only is it good in gravel grass, sand but also does well in Snow!
Question:	Does the canes quad base go longer from front to back, or from left to right
Answer:	The cane is centered in the base, no side is longer than any other.
Question:	is this cane light weight? I don't like heavy canes
Answer:	I just weighed my Hugo cane, the one with the compact quad foot that I recently purchased, and found that it weighed 21 1/2 ozs. That is twenty one and a half onces. This seems not very heavy to me. I am of normal build for an 80 year old female.My other regular cane, without quad foot, weighs 11 ozs., but I like the convenience of being able to stand my new cane almost anywhere, except, of course on uneven carpet.Another of my canes, with the spread out metal feet, weighs 38 onces. This seem a little heavy to me when compared to my regular cane, and it's a little awkard to use. I tend to trip over the extended feet when I have them facing inwards.

Answer:	The handle is made of plastic that is molded firmly around the top of the metal cane rod.

Answer:	I don't know but I can say my mother loves hers.

Answer:	The 4 “feet” that extend slightly from under the base measure 3 7/8” tip to tip. The base is about 3.5” in diameter. The cane stands by itself on most surfaces. It is the best cane I have owned.
Question:	is there a way to secure the base from unscrewing
Answer:	i had the same problem. I wrapped the base of the cane in clear packing tape and pressed the base back on... not ideal but it was broken pretty quick

Question:	Does the bottom pivot
Answer:	No it does not. Cane is made of inferior metal, however. Accidentally stepped on it when it was lying horizontally. Main tube snapped cleanly in two, as if it were cheap plastic. Amazing what China can put out.
Question:	I use the cane with my right hand. Can the base reversed
Answer:	It looks like it is already set for a right-handed person in the picture. It can be changed if you need to by spinning the base around to have the flatter side of the base facing your right leg. Loosen the cover just below the height adjustment holes, push the button under the whole, turn the base around and tighten the screw cover back on.
Question:	Can you explain the “sit - to - stand” feature
Answer:	You'll note that it has 2 grip areas. A lower one and a higher one. The lower one is used to pull and balance oneself when standing up from a chair. Once half way up, you can use one hand to grab the higher grip to pull into a standing position. Once standing, you use the higher grip as the cane.
Question:	How much weight does it support
Answer:	Oh how much weight does it support. .. my mom is approx 150. I'm sure it can support up to at least 200lbs worth ease
