Answer:	As long as you dont walk on it should work. The rice packets are on the bottom of the slipper.

Answer:	How to wash? GOOD QUESTION. After valiant attempts to use/wear the Footies, I found the "stuffing" lumps up and actually hurts to step on them. And, because I am senior and wobbly, they are unsafe. Wearing them, I am at risk of falling. They are okay (and "damp warm") when feet are up on a footstool. Otherwise, they are not wearable. Thus, I never got to the point where they needed to be washed. They are in my closet somewhere... unused.
Question:	Can you microwave them
Answer:	YES, the removable heat packs are microwavable. That is the way the warming packs are heated. Just know that seniors who are not stable on their feet CANNOT walk in these. They are only good to slip on and keep feet warm while sitting. With heating packs removed, one can walk just like regular slippers but then they are not heated.

Question:	I own this but haven’t used in a while, how long do I heat it in microwave
Answer:	I have used Bed Buddies for years! I live in a northern climate and use it to warm up the bed, too. I microwave it for 1 minute and 45 seconds. It probably differs with microwaves wattage. If you smell cooked rice or see a brown discoloring, you left it in too long. I keep using it anyway.
Question:	Are they Machine washable
Answer:	I would not do it. I’ve had many clients wash these and they are never the same after. I’m told they smell and they do not work as well or at all after washing. The same goes for switching them from freezer to microwave. I use these for heat only. I have never washed them, gross as that may sound. I bought them around 2010 or earlier and they still work as great as the first day.
Question:	Do the new ones have an aroma or are they non-fragrant like the original? Are there any herbs or essential oils that cause a fragrant smell
Answer:	These are non-fragrant. I like them better than the originals because extra stitching keeps the beads from shifting and the rope handles are of better rope material. One for me and one for my wife. We luv em'

Answer:	I have used Bed Buddy's for many years . I don't know why they claim that this new version is an "Original". I don't know what the filling is, but there is definitely less of it because you can feel the weight difference when you hold the Original and the new one at the same time. This new one is a step backwards and I'll be looking for an alternative. It doesn't stay hot as long as the real Original either.
