Answer:	Hope, I am sorry it took so long to respond to your question. You wanted to know how the white plastic clamp works to empty and the bag on the Portable Urnial system and then how to close it again. My explanation is a little long, but please bear with me. Since the Portable Urinal works by gravity, both filling and emptying the urinal bag, you always want to have the bag lower than the urinal container where urine first goes in. When I am wanting to empty the urinal bag, I first hang the urinal containing using the grip handle of the urinal itself to hang it on something higher than the toilet bowl but close enough so that you can hold the bag by the hanging clip, over the opening to the toilet bowl. As you are holding the bag by the square shaped hanging clip, you will use you other hand to grap the short dark drain hose with a white opening and closing clamp and pull the tip of the drain hose out of the clear plastic holder. For the next step, it is important to make sure that you are pointing the drain hose toward water in the toilet bowl and you usually want to hold the drain hose about 6 inches to 1 foot of the water to not splash or spill. To open and close the drain hose clamp, there is a small plastic tab in the middle of clamp, which you can open and close with your thumb as you keep the drain hose pointed toward water in the toilet. When the bag is drained, you push down on the tab which you opened, which clamps down on the hose, preventing it from leaking. It is always best to re-insert the tip of the drain hose back into the clear plastic holder as additional security against catching the clamp on something and opening it up at the wrong time. Before I leave the toilet area, I always rinse the bag twice by reclamping the drain hose on the bag and fill it almost full with warm water and drain that in the toilet, and then repeat. It is also best to practice each of these steps at least once while the bag is either empty or filled with water to get comfortable with each step of the this process. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Hi, Bala,I, too, wondered about this when ordering for my late father's use. The picture doesn't show anything in reference to help you figure it out. It was about 7 or 8 inches long. The opening was about 2 to 2.5 inches across and had some sort of soft baffle around it for comfort. A "normal" sized man would have no problem using this. It's considered a long bowl and measures 10 in. front to back and the same 8 1/4 in. wide. Thank you for helping me learn something new. If I'm ever confronted by a mugger who says "tell me how big your toilet is or I'll blow your head off" I now know the answer. You may have saved my life!
Question:	What happens after 50 flushes? Is there a battery and is it replaceable? Not enthusiastic about purchasing a new one every 50 flushes
Answer:	There are two halves, top half has a cap to fill clean water and a plunger to push the clean water into the tank. The bottom half is for the waste which needs to be empty. There is an indicator in the front to let you know when it's due. I empty it about 3/4 full. I made the mistake once when the level was all red, DON'T DO THAT! 3/4 is best. To break down the waste, I use Walex Bio-Pak (for breaking down waste) and Porta-Pak (deodorizer), one each. I put them after setting it up and after each cleaning. It almost completely turns it into liquid. Fresh scent porta-pak seems to smell better (blue package) than lavender (purple package), however bio-back (green package) IS DEFINITELY NEEDED to break down waste. After the bottom tank gets full, (more like 40 flushes than fifty) it needs to be emptied, rinsed out with clean water and set back up. After its set up put in one bio-pak and one porta-pak. You can order through Amazon for those. The water tank, upper portion holds about 2.5 gallons (about 9.5 liters), I don't pull the plunger all the way up, only about half way or as needed. This way it conserves on water. Hope this helps.

Question:	I have a room above my barn that will sleep 4 for a week. I am thinking of installing this in an extra stall probably for night use. Thoughts
Answer:	Living in the country with a barn too , I'd say thats a great idea. Wish I had a guest room in the barn. In a stall inside the barn is a perfect place for this port a potty so ladies dont hafta go outside in middle of nite or 1st thing in morn. If it works good inside my house will work gr8 in the barn.
Question:	I am converting a shed into living space. Could I use this vs. installing a septic system
Answer:	A composting toilets is $1000. This is $70. I lived in my Airstream and this was my toilet.( Only #1 went in the holding tank for #2 put a grocery sack over the bowl ) I used it probably 5 times a day. After three months the rubber gasket got worn out on the flusher. Rigged it for a month .the remaining 5 months I just used my shower head sprayer which was a foot away. I am now ordering #2. I can buy this 14 times for the cost of a composting toilet..that plus my #2 go in the trash every day usually within 10 minutes of the bootycakes arrival..they don't compost inside my tiny space
Question:	Can this be emptied into your residential toilet? I had one in a popup camper that you could empty the cassette in a regular toilet
Answer:	You can as long as it is not overloaded with toilet paper & other solids.
Question:	How much water per flush is recommended? How many days of one person using it for mostly "solids" would it work for
Answer:	Well this unit holds about 5 gallons of water, each flush is less then quater of gallon depending how many times you pump to dispose the waste. 1 to 3 flushes should do it. It has a decent pressure, not like a real toilet but enough to clean the bowl. I took it with me camping and I had three females ranging from 7 and 34 years, of age. Believe it or not I only had to dispose the waste every two to three days depending on use.

The Flush Tank

The top half flush tank holds 2.5 gallons of fresh water and has a toilet with a lid, seat and bowl. On the top of the toilet, there is a cap that can be removed to fill the flush tank with clean water. On the other side there is the bellows-type pump that flushes the water into the tank for waste removal. The sides feature latches for securing the toilet to the waste tank.

The Waste Tank

On the bottom half waste tank, there is a sliding gate valve that opens for waste, and closes to create an odor and water-tight seal. It has a 5.3 gallon waste holding capacity. The back of the waste tank has a cap that can be removed for easy emptying. The sides of both the top and the bottom have handles for easy transport.

Answer:	I don't think it will. The inside lip on the toilet is a little less (a little less than 11 inches) the the height of a 5 gallon bucket by about a 1\4 inch. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does it seal in smell when it's closed.....? Where do you get trash bags for it
Answer:	Smells a little but not worse than a portapotty. We use Camco Toilet Waste Bags from Amazon. They have an inner black bag that contains biodegradable powder that gels liquid and an utter bag that you fold the inner bag inside and zip lock to throw away. The whole thing works pretty well.
Question:	What is the U-shaped channel for - I haven't been able to figure out where it goes or how to use it
Answer:	Just look at the picture and snap the pieces on as the picture! It's made like a real toilet!

Answer:	Seat opening is slightly oval. Measures 9.5 inches front to back & 8 inches side to side of opening

Answer:	It is easier than with a regular commode. You can spread your legs wider either under the arms or lower the arms. You can scoot forward as the square seat allows you to feel more secure. You may even consider removing the backrest and placing the seat with the opening pointing backwards to allow you to reach better.
Question:	can I buy a deeper bucket for this chair
Answer:	Yes, this product can be set over a regular toilet. The back is adjustable, as well as removable, so it can be slid in closer to the chair seat to miss the toilet tank. The seat will be approx. five inches higher than the toilet due to the support brackets under the seat and the thickness of the seat.
Question:	What is the demenisions for the opening on the seat? Could this be used for a 6 year old
Answer:	From side to side the opening is 8 inches and it is 12 inches from the back to the frame bar but the seat it's self has an opening at the front.
