Question:	What does it use for power
Answer:	The battery unit is the up/down, on/off unit that hangs on side of chair- it also floats and comes with charger you plug into wall socket when it gets low on power. It will not go down if power is to low to lift you back, I tried it once and it works as it should. I've had mine and used daily for years with all original parts and it still works great, love it.
Question:	The back lowers automatically? So if you don't want to recline to the fullest position, you have no choice
Answer:	The lift goes up and down with the back in the straight vertical position. When down at the lowest level one can keep the down button pressed and the back then reclines. So if you don't want to recline you don't have to. You do have to recline the back to fold up the unit.
Question:	My tub's width is 28". Will the flaps work for my tub? Thanks
Answer:	The width of my tub is 29" from the outside of the tub, so it sits over the edge on both sides. The chair is about 27 from flap to flap. You would have to bring the chair closer to the outside where you load yourself to use it. My wife uses the flap to sit on and then slides over. they fill the gap so you don't fall in, and flaps really don't seem to steady it much. The suction cups hold to the bottom of the tub real well. I know it's been a blessing to us and has worked real good. I don't know how we did without it before.

Answer:	Mine said warranty for one year. We still like our chair not only for the tub, but wife fell and could not get up. Answer:	The smallest glass jar I usually use is a 4oz Ball or Kerr jar with a lid about 2.5 inches in diameter. It is very safe & secure. I measured the diameter of the jar lifter when it was fully closed & it is about 1⅞ inches across. So I would expect it to lift a 2 inch jar safely.

Answer:	I would think so. It easily lifts small mouthed and wide mouthed jars.

Answer:	They won't stick at all I don't think. The sheets stick well at first, but then loose their stickiness. But your skin has to be clean and dry.

Answer:	Yeah, I don’t actually rub it in for the whole 3-5 min but I massage it in until it feels like it’s dried or fully absorbed. Timed it, 3-5 seems too long and made my skin red. 1-2 min should be fine.

Answer:	It gets 2-3 inches from the floor of the tub. The wings fold--I guess you could take them off permanently.

Question:	How does the jack release the toilet if the toilet is "never lowered to the floor
Answer:	U have to lower the jack or pick up the toilet.
Question:	Will it work with a skirted toilet
Answer:	It will work if the lifting arms can roll in under the bowl. Lifting arms are 9-5/8 inches wide. And 6-1/2 inches high. on some skirted toilet it will not roll in under the bowl. You will have to measure yours.
Question:	Can i install larger wheels on the toilet jack
Answer:	Yes u can install larger wheels. But if lift arms hit the bowl when rolling Jack in position - simply raise the rear end and scoop the Jack in place under the bowl. No problems

Answer:	I just straws or bic pen tubes. I really dont like the ideal of all the dirty wax all over them touching everything so I use disposable ones.

Question:	how wide and does it swival
Answer:	It does not swivel. I'm guessing on the width but I would say it's 24 inches. Now the actual seat it self is smaller but the flaps move up and down on the sides. At first we had it in a wide tub and it worked great then my mom moved and we were worried it wouldn't fit because it was narrow. It fits perfectly. My mom is not a small bottomed person and this chair has been a god send. She couldn't take baths before because we couldn't lift her out and she didn't have the strength to get out on her own. It has worked perfectly. Well worth the money. Hope that helps.
Question:	does the back rest detach and can the unit be used without it? what is the height at the full extended position
Answer:	The back rest on my unit does not stand up straight on seat it folds flat but it will drop back. What am I doing wrong.
Question:	can it be taken in and out easily? My dad doesn't need it, my mom does so he would want it out when he bathes...is it THAT portable
Answer:	yes. i do the same thing for my dad. the bottom is separate and i put it in first-the suction cups hold it in place. thenthe back slides in the slot on the base-then you plug in the remote control and thechair raises up.(be sure to keep it charged) when finished reverse the process and liftthe base up but be sure to release the suction cups.yes - it is very portable - and if she fallson the floor, sit this on the floor and rollher on to it and you will be able to lift herjust like in the tub but with no strain.
Question:	How long does the battery last
Answer:	after about 3 years the battery will only take a partial charge so u can't lift the user out of the water. instead of selling just the battery pack inside the control, they make u buy a new control at an absolutely ridiculous price (well over 200 bucks). be aware that u can take the battery pack out easily enough, u just can buy a replacement. shame on the manufacturer drive medical for this scam. a battery pack should be available for about 20 bucks. this kind of corporate behavior just makes me sick. they lost me as a customer forever.
