FAQs

Q1. Do I keep testing after I receive a Peak result? How long is the Peak result supposed to remain on the display?

A1. It is not possible to continue testing once Peak Fertility is displayed. Peak Fertility symbol will show on the day it is first detected and the day after. Therefore it will remain on the display for 48 hours after it is first detected and indicates that you are at your most fertile.

You cannot perform another test while there is a result on the display. After Peak Fertility is displayed you must stop testing for this cycle. You can save any remaining test sticks for use in a future cycle if required but you must use the same Holder for a cycle of testing (do not change Holders part way through a cycle of use). You can test more than one time a day once the High Fertility symbol has been displayed.

Q2. What time of the day should I test?

A2. To make sure that the hormone levels in your urine are concentrated enough for the test to detect, it is important to use the first urine after your longest sleep. This is especially important for the detection of High Fertility as most estrogen production takes place while you sleep.

Q3. What does it mean if the test goes straight from Low Fertility to Peak Fertility?

A3. This product tracks the changes in estrogen and luteinizing hormone (LH) throughout the menstrual cycle. If the necessary changes in estrogen are detected the Holder will display High Fertility and if the necessary changes in LH are detected the Holder will display Peak Fertility.

If the hormone changes naturally occur close together it is possible that High Fertility may not be displayed and that the Holder will change from Low Fertility to Peak Fertility without displaying High Fertility. We would like to reassure you that this does not mean that your product is faulty and that you have still detected your two most fertile days to try to conceive.

However if tests are missed or not performed correctly (i.e., missampled, mistimed or a weak concentration of urine is used) then your High Fertility results can also be affected.

Answer:	According to the CBE site, yes you can use the same holder next month. However, you have to wait until the test results clear (you get the peak result for 48 hrs, so you can't use the test during that window). The only thing they recommend against is using 2 different monitors during the same cycle.

Answer:	The accurate results are from your first morning urine. Later in the day hormones may be more diluted. The package instructions tell you to use the first urination after your longest period of sleep.

Answer:	Full disclosure, I don’t trust this brand. However, day 23 isn’t THAT late for ovulation - if you had a period of stress or something that might delay it. My ovulation was five days late last cycle, according to an opk, and my period came two weeks after the opks ovulation. So I don’t think there’s a problem to get pregnant but realize your period might also be a little late this month even if you aren’t pregnant :(

Step 1: Collect Urine Sample

Collect a urine sample at home using a disposable Mira LH test wand. Leave the test wand in the urine sample for about 10 seconds.

Caution: Do not hold the Mira Fertility wand with the “sampling collecting” side pointing upwards after sampling urine.

Caution: Test on a flat horizontal surface. Do not allow urine to enter the analyzer or else it may cause corrosion.

Step 2: Begin Analyzer Test with Sample

Caution: Do not insert the side of the wand with urine on it!

Answer:	NO! I didn't know and could not find the fertility test strip anywhere in the local stores and unfortunately missed the cycle. The seller should make it clear what's specifically needed for this to work.

Answer:	I love this fertility monitor bc the opk just tell you to test between certain days. The thing is starting day 6 you turn the monitor on and it tells you to test or not test and you can tell low high or peak. With this info some people don't realize they ovulate earlier than typical 14th day of the cycle. So by starting on the 5th or 6th day of the cycle you can catch it. With it keeping track of your cycle you can also mark which days you have sex and take the tracker with you to your dr appt. I have MTHFR which basically means my body does break down folic acid and my body automatically starts shutting off the blood supply as soon as I'm pregnant and my body doesn't produced enough progesterone. So I usually have to take supplements. I have had 3 miscarriages before I had my son with the first edition clearblue fertility monitor. We have been trying since jan 2017 for our second child using letrozole and a trigger shot with no result. This is the first month I have used the new monitor and preseed and got a positive pregnancy test. I understand the concern on pricing but trust me the first edition monito was $200 and this one is def better and the price is more affordable. What is LH surge?

Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is one of the hormones produced by the pituitary gland. It is secreted at very low levels throughout your menstrual cycle. Once a developing egg follicle reaches a certain size, Luteinizing Hormone secretion surges to high levels. This hormone surge is what triggers ovulation about 24 to 48 hours later. Ovulation is the release of a mature egg from the ovary. It signals the beginning of your fertile period.

When to begin testing?

Determine the length of your menstrual cycle before test (The length of the cycle is the duration from your first menstrual bleeding day to the day before the next bleeding begins).

Please refer to the cycle chart to determine when you should start testing. If you do not know your cycle length, you may begin the test 11 days after your first period, since the average cycle length is 28 days. Example: If your cycle length is normally 26 days, the chart indicates testing should begin on day 10.
