Ketones are measured through the alcohol in your breath and a raise in Keytone’s will also raise in your alcohol levels even if you have not consumed any. A good reading would be around 0.4-0.5 especially when you have not consumed any alcohol whatsoever. That is a good sign that you are indeed in ketosis. This can be done with any breathalyzer, especially a cheap one.

And yes, you can set the length — there are three settings, approximately a half-inch between each, which lock into place. (This is using the side button.) You can also just hold the blade open using the top button, which lets it instantly retract when you release. This is good for when you just need it for one quick use, like opening a box.
