Question:	What is the typical forehead temperature
Answer:	The typical forehead temperature is between 97.5°F – 98.4°F . It is usually about 0.5°F below oral temperature.
Question:	My display shows “Lo”, is it low battery
Answer:	According to the user manual, the “Lo” means temperature is under the measuring range selected , not low battery. Low battery will be displayed with an empty battery icon. The “Lo” could be caused by measuring room or “air” temperature in “Body” mode. Room temperature of around 75°F is “Lo” as compared to human forehead temperature of between 97.5F°F - 98.4°F .

Answer:	There is a way to turn the beep off and on. If you read through the directions it will tell you everything it is capable of.

Answer:	Never immerse the thermometer into water or other liquids (not waterproof). For cleaning and disinfecting please follow the instructions in the “Care and cleaning” section.
Question:	Why does it state there is a difference between the ear and forehead. Which is the accurate reading. Shouldn't both record the same
Answer:	I'm not sure. However it's not really unusual, that's why hospitals take rectal temps in babies because rectal temps are more accurate. My thermometer didn't read much of a difference from forehead to ear though.

Answer:	It's a thermometer so in theory, yes, it would measure room temp however, you have to shake it or move it to register the temp. It is designed for short uses so it will go into a "sleep" type mode when not in use. It will not display a constant temp but does last several minutes which is ideal for bath time.

Answer:	There is nothing special to do...you turn it on, you stick it in your mouth (under your tongue) and when you hear the beep you take it out. If you have turned it on, can see a readout, put it in your mouth under your tongue and it never beeps I would think you have a defective thermometer as mine beeps just fine.

Answer:	It's pretty simple. You can access it by opening the cabinet door (left side) and pulling out the top drawer (right side). The trap is a small square metal dish that slides on and off rails that are affixed to the grease drainage conduits. You can wipe or pour out the grease and wash with dish soap.

Switchable

• 1. Do not take the measurement outdoors.
• 2. Make sure you measure your body temperature in forehead mode.
• 3. Do not take the measurement after shower.
• 4. Make sure the thermometer probe is clean, free of dust and moisture.
• 5. The test area of the forehead is dry and is not blocked by anything like hair or dust.
• 6. The distance between the forehead and the thermometer is 1-3 cm. It should not be more than 3 cm.

Oral use

Place thermometer under tongue. Close your mouth and breathe evenly through the nose to prevent the measurement from being influenced by inhaled/exhaled air. Normal temperature between 96.3℉ and 99.1℉.

Rectal Use

Lubricate silver probe tip with petroleum jelly for easy insertion, Gently insert sensor approximately 1 cm (less than 1/2") into rectum, Normal temperature between 97.2℉ and 99.9℉.
