Answer:	This IR thermometer has a very narrow range of temperatures it displays. IF I point it at my hair, the lowest temp I've seen is 93.6F. If the temp reading is much below that it just displays "Lo". Hence it probably has a range from 93F to 108F as a guess. Other IR measurement devices, and I have one from Etekcity that's black and yellow is good for temps from -58F to 716F degrees per the label on it. That one just measured by stover burner at 408F, plus my fridge was 40F and freezer was +3F. This one is much better for humans and the etekcity is better for no humans. I read 94F on Etekcity and 98.6F for this unit on my forehead. This is made for people.

Question:	What is the typical forehead temperature
Answer:	The typical forehead temperature is between 97.5°F – 98.4°F . It is usually about 0.5°F below oral temperature.
Question:	My display shows “Lo”, is it low battery
Answer:	According to the user manual, the “Lo” means temperature is under the measuring range selected , not low battery. Low battery will be displayed with an empty battery icon. The “Lo” could be caused by measuring room or “air” temperature in “Body” mode. Room temperature of around 75°F is “Lo” as compared to human forehead temperature of between 97.5F°F - 98.4°F .
Question:	Can it be used to measure temperature of limbs such as legs and feet
Answer:	Yes - set for "Body". I took readings off my legs, arms, hands and feet. Make sure to follow the instructions re: give the thermometer a few seconds to reset between readings.

Answer:	Yes but this thermometer is a waste of money. It’s completely inaccurate. I’m a paramedic on an ambulance I compared the temperature findings of this device with the ER thermometers on the same patients I used it on to the results of the ER’s device on those patients and this thermometer is completely false. Downright dangerous if you trust the results. Fevers that read as normal and normal readings read febrile.

Answer:	Hi! My name is Sara and I am with Beyond Med Shop. Usually, it takes about 10 seconds after turning on the oximeter to get a reading. Please note though that when your blood perfusion level is low or when your hands are cold, the device may need more time to optimize and register an accurate reading. In this instance, we suggest that you warm your hands and fingers before taking the measurements. You can do this simply by rubbing your hands together. Remember your pulse oximeter is measuring your SpO2 and PR based on your blood flow. If the blood flow in your finger drops below a certain level, the pulse oximeter will not be able to function. Answer:	Yes I have and the heart rate is very close. I have several of these and COPD and this ones heart rate at least the one that I have is very good. On the cell phone app which is called Oximeter the oxygen sensor is way off like 5 points high which is critical and I was told that the cell phone oximeter was more designed for sports than for actual health problems! as an example a five point spread could cause major organ damage do to low oxygen!

Working principle:

Any object can generate certain proportion of infrared radiant energy as per its own temperature. The radiant energy and its wavelength distribution are subjected to its surface temperature.
